Many key products of Sanofi-Genzyme are supported by Contract Manufacturing Operations (CMO), making this sourcing strategy a valuable element of our supply chain. Specialty Care External Manufacturing is the organization that supports the CMO network within Sanofi-Genzyme. It is multi-functional and multi-geographical encompassing both internal and external teams.

Reporting to the Controller, the Financial Analyst will play a key role in the preparation of the financial planning / forecasting process and tracking the actual performance of the organization. A primary responsibility of this role is the submission of the financial budget, forecast, and monthly results in different accounting and reporting systems. This role will also be responsible for the preparation of entries, reports, and analyses required by the monthly financial closing. Additionally, this role will support certain other activities of the central controlling team in monthly and annual processes. The successful candidate will be a financial partner to the business with strong analytical skills, knowledge of cost accounting, and a strong desire for identifying and measuring improvement opportunities for the financial closing, product and overhead costing, and the budgeting and forecasting activities.

Key Responsibilities will include the following:

• Prepare the financial analyses, journal entries and reconciliations necessary for financial reporting on a monthly basis.

• Prepare certain monthly schedules necessary for SOX and Internal Control processes.

• Make accurate and timely submissions of accounting and financial data in different accounting and reporting systems.

• Gathering of all financial data required to complete budget and forecast activities. Responsible for meeting all planning calendar deadlines, submitting accurate projections and generating timely reports.

• Prepare relevant industrial analysis, including investments, understanding and applying the Sanofi policies and methodologies.

• Assist Controller in the financial management and tracking of manufacturing and transfer costs related to all CMO contracts in the division.

• Regularly monitor the Inventory clearing accounts in the balance sheet for reconciliation issues and assist in the process to resolve issues as they happen. Requires the manipulation of reports in excel and identification of the issues.

• Prepare financial reports and tracking of key metrics and presentations for various cross-functional forums. Serve as a business partner to the External Manufacture organization.

• Maintain internal controls and process improvement initiatives to effectively manage the processes within the SCO EM organization.

• Maintain and update standard costs for products moving through the SC organization.

• Assist Central Controlling in the Annual Standard Costing process.

• Tracking and reconciliation of inventory data with Quality and Supply Chain teams on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and reliability of information submitted for financial reporting

• Monitor key contractual commitments using the contract database and prepare analysis of financial impact as a result of deviations from commitments.

• Understand product and financial flows, related contract risks and work with cross functional / cross geographical teams to resolve financial issues stemming from contract manufacturing operations.

• Assist in the process to provide necessary SOX and internal / external audit documentation in the validation of the CRI process and related processes

• Prepare the quarterly special reporting schedules related to certain inventory / financial transactions and balances

Qualifications:

A minimum of one year of work experience within a Finance and/or Accounting role is required. Ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years of work experience in Finance and/or Accounting.

Exposure to financial analysis and financial systems is required. Previous experience with cost-accounting, within a manufacturing environment is preferred. Previous budgeting, and/or forecasting experience is preferred. Strong working knowledge of MS Excel/; i.e. Pivot-Tables; V-Look-Ups is required. Experience with SAP, Oracle, or Hyperion is preferred. Selected candidate will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to build and develop strong working relationships with our internal cross-functional teams and external manufacturing teams. Experience working in a multicultural and multi-national environment is preferred. This position may require up to 10% travel.
