Sanofi Group Senior Associate Scientist (L1-2) in Waltham, Massachusetts
Sanofi’s Rare and Neurologic Disease Department is seeking a talented and motivated researcher to be part of an in vivo research team that works on lysosomal storage diseases, metabolic and rare blood disorders and muscular dystrophies. We are looking for a hands-on scientist, with demonstrated experience in designing and executing in vivo mouse studies, as well as in vitro assays to advance our programs.
The successful candidate will work closely with colleagues on cross-functional teams and in a project-oriented environment to advance our preclinical programs. The candidate should flourish in a fast-paced and flexible work environment. The team is currently located in Waltham, with work done some days a week in Framingham. Mid-2022 the department will relocate together with all other Sanofi research departments into our brand new, 12 floor preclinical research building at Cambridge Crossing.
Design, plan and execute in vivo efficacy and PK/PD studies using animal models to evaluate biologics and small molecule compounds. Proficiency in mouse techniques (e.g. IV, SC, IP dosing, whole body perfusions, blood draws, necropsy) is required.
Develop and apply multiple analytical assays as part of the experimental work (e.g. qRT-PCR, ELISA, MSD, Immunoblot, FACS, cell culture, histology).
Strong work ethic and good documentation practices, including electronic laboratory notebook and writing of technical reports and SOPs.
Analyze, compile and present results to group members and cross-functional teams.
Good communication skills, self-starter, well-organized and results-oriented.
Must be able and willing to learn and incorporate new concepts and technologies.
Candidates are required to have a B.S. in Biology or related discipline with (4-6 years of relevant experience) OR an M.S. with 2-4 years of relevant experience.
Must have permanent US work authorization.
