Research-TMED - Operational Planning and Capacity Management (R-TMED OPCM)
Job purpose and Responsibilities:
As part of Project Management, the primary purpose of the R-TMED OPCM is to build and customize the operational R&D projects plans of the Research-TMED activities with their timelines, resources and costs reflecting the operational reality and aligned with the overall project plan and strategy.
Research-TMED activity scope covers the following departments of Research platform: Translational Sciences (TS), Translational In Vivo Model (TIM), Pre-Clinical Safety (PCS) and Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) in addition to the Translational Medicine and Early Development (TMED) Development Department and Data & Data Sciences.
Evolving in an international team and environment, the R-TMED OPCM is supporting the Project Teams and Operational Departments both at a Global and Local levels:
single accountable person for the accuracy of the plan entered and regularly updated in the RDPM planning tool (timelines, resources, costs).
providing workload and capacity analyses and reporting to support the R&D Teams and Managers in the R-TMED Functions.
In that context, the R-TMED OPCM will conduct in Sanofi site of Waltham (US) some missions such as:
Project management of some compounds in Life Cycle Management, Research and progressively after training in Development phase
Perform capacity analysis
Contribute to the communication and reporting with Project teams and the operational Departments
The OPCM will report to the head of R-TMED OPCM with many local interactions with the OPCM located in US (BW and WA) and networking with the rest of the team spread in France and Germany.
Local DMPK/Pre-Clinical Safety and TMED BCB/PKDM/Project Dept. Operations and Project Team members
Deep connection with other Project Team Members / CSO and CMC OPCMs / Planning Project Managers for the projects he/she will be in charge of
The whole community of R-TMED OPCMs working on all types of molecule and modalities located in Frankfurt, Paris, Montpellier, Bridgewater and Boston area
Education & Experience:
Pharmacist / Engineer / MS / MBA in Chemistry/Biology
Few years in Pharmaceutical Development / Pre-Clinical or Clinical areas
Analytical, synthesis and reporting skills
Excellent organizational skills, rigor, striving for results, ability for solutions proposal, pragmatic and enthusiastic
Ability to work in a team and manage cross-functional projects
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ease of use of IT tools
Good level in English
Knowledge of Pharmaceutical Development and Pre-Clinical Safety
Notions in planning, in project management and in finance would be a plus
