Sanofi Group Research Associate Bioanalytics in Waltham, Massachusetts

Position Overview:

We seek a motivated Research Associate to join the newly formed Bioassay and Molecular Analytical Development (BAM) group within the Genomic Medicine Unit (GMU)-Bioanalytics group in Framingham, MA. This group will be moving locations from Framingham, MA to Waltham, MA by June 2022.

The successful candidate will participate in the development, qualification, and transfer of bioanalytical methods used for analyzing cell & gene therapy products. The ideal candidate will have an innovative mindset, attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work under supervision to support method development and qualification of cell-based assays and ELISA based impurity assays such as detection of host cell proteins to support drug substance and drug product release and stability testing.

  • Plan, prioritize and execute simple and complex experiments with the relevant controls with appropriate guidance from their supervisor.

  • Integrate, compile, analyze, and interpret data under supervision.

  • Ensure timely completion and delivery of analytical results and documentation (ELN, technical reports, SOPs, etc.).

  • Perform cGMP sample testing, following method protocols (SOPs), and generate data packets for results.

  • Write simple technical reports & SOPs, including clear and concise technical data presentation and discussion. Present on technical aspects internally.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a life science discipline.

  • Basic understanding of molecular and cell-based methods e.g. ELISA, PCR or cell-based assays.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Must have permanent US work authorization

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with techniques such as ELISA, PCR or cell-based assays.

  • Intern or co-op experience working in a laboratory environment.
