Principal Research Associate, Drug Discovery for Rare Metabolic and Muscle Disorders

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced research associate to join the Rare Disease Metabolic and Muscle Disease Cluster in Waltham. This group works on early stage research programs and studies that seek to identify and validate new disease projects. The candidate will be responsible to execute and document in vitro studies evaluating the mechanism of action and efficacy of our drug lead compounds. The ideal candidate will have experience in a broad range of molecular and cellular methods. In addition to the laboratory skills, good data recording, communication, writing, and presentation skills are needed for this role.

Basic Qualifications

  • Candidates are required to have a PhD with 0-4 years or an M.S. in Biology or related discipline with 5+ years of relevant experience in industry.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with basic cellular and molecular biology techniques, including cloning, qPCR, protein isolation, Western blotting, ELISA, immunofluorescence, and cell culturing.

  • A background in muscle and/or metabolic research would be a clear plus.

  • The successful candidate should be able to work independently and be motivated to excel in both individual and team environments.
