Sanofi Group Specialty Pharmacy Account Director, AllianceRx and Optum Rx in United States
The Specialty Pharmacy Account Director, AllianceRx and Optum Rx, reports to the Senior Director, Specialty Channel Accounts and is a key contributor to all the Sanofi Genzyme business units, with specific brand responsibilities for all the Sanofi Genzyme products. This field-based individual will work closely with Home Office based individuals (data, operations, contracting, legal, etc.) as well as provide the necessary specialty pharmacy operational support across all Sanofi Genzyme therapeutic areas. This individual will work in close partnership with the Trade team across specialty, wholesale & retail to ensure we continue to leverage all our best practices to implement winning strategies for our brands.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Developing, maintaining and executing specialty pharmacy contracts for the Sanofi Genzyme
Ensure Sanofi Genzyme specialty pharmacies are measured on service level agreements per the SP contracts and are appropriately invoicing Sanofi for such services.
Ensure the SP data feeds are being utilized to enhance Sanofi Genzyme’s understanding of the patient journey & are correctly mapped per data management
Prepare & attend business reviews, industry meetings / conferences & internal POAs in support of the specialty pharmacy business
This individual will work closely with internal stakeholders such as Marketing, Market Access, Training, Medical, and Legal (as needed) to ensure channel team activities are coordinated and occur in accordance with brand strategies & company policy
Work with internal supply chain distribution partners on day-to-day distribution issues as well as the wholesaler strategy & operations team to ensure supply distribution agreements with distribution partners are in line with Trade across the Sanofi GBUs
Maintain open & transparent communication throughout the company, especially in regard to BU, & cross BU initiatives with similar accounts
Apply strong judgment and oversight to ensure integrity and compliance with company policies in all activities and communications
Professional Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) required, advanced degree a plus, preferably an MBA
5+ years of proven experience in Specialty Pharmacy either on manufacturer, Specialty Pharmacy or distributor sides of business
Experience working with Specialty Pharmacy Providers
Ability to communicate at a high level & establish rapport and build relationships at all levels within an organization
Must have superior communication skills to sell ideas and programs both internally and externally; excellent verbal and presentation skills
Strong understanding and experience in different access and reimbursement models, including Parts B, D and Medicaid
Financial management experience as well as strong analytical skills; reliable and responsible management budgets and expenses
Strong project management capabilities including time and events, scenario and contingency planning, and ability to ensure on time and on budget delivery of outputs and deliverables
Ability to work effectively and efficiently with the medical/legal/regulatory submission & approval process to ensure appropriate review and timely delivery of materials
Expert negotiation and influencing skills
Understanding of the legal/regulatory environment and internal Sanofi legal/regulatory guidelines and processes
Ability to travel up to 50% a must

Candidates must complete all fleet safety training and must maintain an acceptable driving record regarding accidents and incidents.
