Sanofi Group Statistician - VIE Contract (W/M) in Toronto, Ontario

iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.

We are looking for: Statistician - VIE Contract (W/M)

Target start date: 01/07/2021

The VIE will work for teams based in US & Canada within the North-America Research&Development (R&D) & will be located in Canada under the supervision of the head of non-clinical Statistical Unit and Senior Statistician based in US and Canada which is part of the Global Biostatistic team.

Responsibilities:

  • To work closely with scientists, Senior Statistician in vaccine research, development & manufacturing (chemistry, manufacturing and control - CMC) area

  • To provide statistical support for biological assay & analytical method development in pre-clinical, clinical & other R&D area

  • To provide statistical support to analytical science and CMC/Quality Control for vaccine and biologics CMC

  • Question or challenge texperimental design according to scientific questions, in collaboration with Senior Statistician

  • In agreement with referent statistician, develop & apply appropriate statistical methodologies following & internal procedures

  • Provide follow-up & traceability of analyzes (planning, prioritization, application forms, analysis reports)

  • Communicate & explain to scientists statistical conclusions of analyzes

  • Provide statistical consulting or training on demand of the scientists

Candidate's profile:

  • Master degree or Ph.D in Statistics

  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience

Statistical tools:

  • Good level in SAS (basic + Macro)

  • Knowledge of R language

Languages :

  • Fluent French and English in terms of verbal and written communication skills

As a core objective, the VIE role will be to provide the statistical support in Research & Development (R&D) and Global Business Services (GBS) department located in US and Canada. VIE will work in close collaboration to the scientists and under the responsibility of senior statisticians as well as located in Toronto and in the US.

The VIE mission in the Canada site may be preceded by an optional one month training phase in the French site (in Marcy l'Etoile 69), within the French statistical team. This training phase will aim to help the intern to become familiar with the internal processes as well as with the current statistical requests generated a large diversity of scientists in Research and Non Clinical Safety (RNCS). VIE will thus be trained to the corresponding statistical approaches and reports that he will have to perform for US and Canada department.
