  • CAPITAL PROJECT CONTROLS MANAGER Sanofi Pasteur, the vaccines division of Sanofi, is the largest company in the world devoted entirely to human vaccines. Key accountabilities 1. Provide Project Controls support to project leaders & team members to assist with execution of Capital Projects ahead of schedule and under budget:- Lead and/or support the development of project justification documentation and capital authorization (“AED”).- Develop, track and control realistic schedules and budgets on Capital Projects.- Facilitate development of work breakdown structure to ensure all project activities are identified and executed by the appropriate team members- Be the key point of contact and support resource to the company project database/ERP system (known as “SHINE”)2. Provide technical support for Capital Projects & User Groups:- Maintain database of capital projects - Develop and adhere Project Controls based procedures- Prepare cost estimates for capital projects at all stages of the project design.- Apply best practices from an Engineering standpoint for the organization- Maintain lead efforts in benchmarking including equipment, construction, hours, project phase duration, etc.3. Be present in the field to assist project teams and provide ad hoc Project Management support as required and use field presence to verify physical progress.4. Pro-actively monitor and control Capital Projects in support of the project teams:- Actively manage any deviation from plan, analyze the impact of the changes to schedule, cost, and risk. Ensure complete compliance to the project change management process.- Identify and escalate any unsolved issues/risks to the project team and leadership as required. Education and Experience:

  • Preferred Qualifications: University degree in Engineering or Business plus five (5) to ten (10) years of previous relevant working experience in a construction, pharmaceutical, food or chemical production environment.

  • Experience with Capital project cost control, forecasting, milestone management, estimating, benchmarking, accounting, working knowledge of procurement practices and engineering best practices is required.

  • Relevant experience with SAP, NEXTs, eBuy, Catalyst and advanced MS-Excel skills

  • Possession of, or working towards a Project Management certification is an asset.
