Reporting to People Director, CHC Japan, People BP for CHC Japan is a pivotal and hands-on role that provides strategic & operational People & Culture support to designated functions across commercial and business partnering functions.

Our Team:

CHC People BP is responsible for;

  • Acting as a people and culture strategic partner for the leaders in scope

  • Contribute to the P&C agenda & roadmap to support the delivery of country business objectives

  • Implementing policies and processes in line with CHC P&C strategy

  • Developing & implementing local talent development program for CHC Japan in collaboration with other PBP

  • Help driving a solid CHC consumer centric culture and transformation Journey

  • Act as a change agent, open on the external world to evolve P&C practices

Please note that

  • The role requires to collaborate with CoEs such as Reward & Performance (compensation & benefit), Talent Acquisitions and Management within Regional P&C

  • Also requires to collaborate with People Services (payroll and employee experiences) in Global Business Services under Finance organization.

Main responsibilities:

P&C strategy

  • Contribute to the country P&C roadmap actions to support the country business objectives / functions objectives in the new autonomous CHC set up

  • Develop a strong collaborative relationship with the leaders, managers and employees

  • Partner with line managers across key P&C outcomes: recruitment, development & training, Recognition, Performance assessment, change management, culture & employee engagement, Diversity & Inclusion and individual employee matters.

People Attraction & Planning

  • Partner with CHC Talent Acquisition to coordinate all recruitment / mobility processes and attract the right talents into the organization

  • Partner with CHC local finance for close HC planning & monitoring

  • Partner with Reward & Performance CoE to implement international mobilities

People Recognition

  • Partner with regional CHC Reward & Performance and local to run compensation cycle and for gradings & pricings purposes in line with the validated governance

People growth

  • Counsel managers on most efficient organization design, structure and allocation of resources to deliver business challenges

  • Manage organizational changes

  • Drive local talent management process, enabling leaders

  • to build a strong Talent Pipeline to support and enhance business goals

  • to grow talents through relevant development programs

  • to foster mobilities across Sanofi functions & BUs, from & towards CHC

  • Drive local learning agenda for the country, leveraging Sanofi Group leadership programs, iLearn resources as well as the CHC capability building resources built by function excellence teams or locally

People services & experience (P&C administration)

  • Partner with Global Business Services People Services for day-to-day administrative procedures & Workday business processes.

  • Deliver day-to-day operational excellence to the business

  • Advice and counsel all levels of management on employee relations to manage and resolve employee issues reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Acts as the single point of contact at national level to drive transversal topics & coordinate common processes at national level, across Commercial Operations, and Global Support functions in scope

KEY STAKEHOLDERS / INTERACTIONS / WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

  • Member of the CHC P&C colleagues

  • Close interaction with Global CHC P&C COEs as necessary

  • Close collaboration with Regional P&C Team as necessary

  • Interaction with local Sanofi Group Japan P&C teams to ensure consistency & lean collaboration

About you

Experience:

Human Resources experience or background is strongly required.

Soft skills:

  • Business and results oriented

  • Demonstrate advisory capabilities, with ability to build relationships & influence. Experience in interacting to interact with Senior Leaders.

  • Ability to drive change and CHC culture to fully meet consumer healthcare needs

  • Ability to understand and advise on P&C processes, functional areas, policies, local labor practices, procedures and compliance efforts.

  • Cooperate Transversally - Collaborate effectively with peers, stakeholders and partners across the business and Sanofi & CHC P&C matrix organization to positively impact business results.

Technical skills:

In-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day employees management.

Languages:

The ideal candidate for this position must be fluent in both English and Japanese, as they will be required to communicate effectively in a business setting in Japan and with regional stakeholders and participate in global business interactions.
