Sanofi Group Vaccines - Factory Control Tower Global Transformation leader M/F in Swiftwater, Pennsylvania

MISSION:

Vaccines Industrial Affaires (VIA) is accelerating the transformation of its manufacturing assets through adoption of digital capability. VIA is ambitioning to fully integrate Digital capabilities & culture within its operations to boost business growth and profitability in 2025+.

This digital acceleration program is part of the overall VIA Performance roadmap and is aiming to leapfrog the competition by 2025. The program dimension reaches 100m€ over 5 years with 70 FTE mobilization annually and impacts the totality of VIA employees (8.000) and embarks an extended team of approximately 100 persons.

The capacity of being able to streamline manufacturing and supply process thanks to advanced analytics and augmented control tower is a core capability of VIA digital ambition.

The role is accountable to lead digital transformation of supply and manufacturing thanks to digital solution like Factory Control Tower (FaCT) or E2E Inventory Dashboard as well as related scheduling/supervision MVPs. As such, he/she will lead across VIA:

  • Master planning of solution deployment across sites

  • Solutions Global Ownership & Global Governance

  • Strategy alignment and business benefit realization (KPI definition)

  • Training, change management and Communication

  • Ensuring proper prioritization of data ingestion into IA datalake

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Roadmap definition and execution

  • Leads roadmap for roll-out of digital solution in alignment with overall digital roadmap and in accordance to expected productivity improvement

  • Ensures solution and standards alignment with processes and strategy closely with Business Process Owners (from global functions and sites)

  • Oversees all the sites roll-out and provides a consolidated progress report to VIA Digital governance, VIA Management Committee as well as VSC management committee

  • He/she is involved in competency planning and dynamic staffing coordination of booster leader community relative to the capability under responsibility

  • Ensures site and functional readiness before kick-off of any roll-out: site project team preparation, site alignment with the standard process in order to avoid any request for modification of the standard system

  • Maintain up to date competitive intelligence regarding digital supply chain

Leadership and upskilling

  • In the early stage of any new solution he/she is leading more directly site roll-out to create traction and put product implementation into motion

  • Contribute to update the deployment package (cookbook) to accelerate digital solution adoption across sites (including but not limited to: external partners, methodology, applicable standards, timelines, budget, resource planning)

  • Lead the design and implementation of proper operating model to ensure sustainable adoption of the digital solution (organizational impacts on site, strategic partnerships with external providers)

  • Contributes to strategic workforce planning with VIA site digital heads as well as function heads (VSC)

  • Is responsible for defining and tracking completion of upskilling curriculum for booster leaders and any other SME directly involved in the solution roll-out

Business value realization

  • Elevate the need of business transformation to main stakeholders

  • Leads design and build of new digital solution in the scope of responsibility (E2E Inventory dashboard, Plant Supervision, Detailed Scheduling)

  • Catalyze adoption of new ways of working, routines and practices at site/operational level in accordance with the recommendations to get the most value out of the digital solution

  • Ensures business value identification (key performance indicator) and realization throughout the program (including translation in real value capture : FTE re-allocation, CycleTime reduction, cost avoidance)

Solution Ownership & Governance

  • Monitors usage of the core models (FaCT) by all sites and engage mitigations VIA management committee when needed

  • Consolidates, arbitrates and prioritizes solution evolution requests from VIA network

  • Given importance of data flows, he/she is accountable for ensuring proper prioritization of data ingestion and interfaces

  • Is responsible for driving any appropriate global change control in relation to the digital solution adoption

  • Defines project/budget required per roll-out and communicate to site booster leader ahead

Change management and Communication

  • Animates and equip the community of booster leaders in charge of deploying the digital solution across VIA (lessons learned, tools, roadmap follow-up, collaboration, knowledge capitalization)

  • Perform initial trainings and contribute to training content evolution

  • Communicates on solution evolution and ensures cascading of roll-out roadmap

SCOPE AND DIMENSIONS:

Global Accountability on the Digital Solution adoption for VIA. Trans functional & International exposure.

Approx 5.000k€ budget management (over next 5years) and with 10-20 FTE in project mode.

Some activities and/or projects will require working with diverse teams geographically and will require flexibility in working hours and travel.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Specific degree, duration of experience (Required to hold the job): Engineering or Science master degree with strong experience in manufacturing opérations and executing large scale strategic programs. MBA would be a plus.

Previous experience - 10+ experience required with a bundle of

  • Previous experience in Manufacturing, supply chain or QC activities

  • Operational experience in Supply chain or logistics

  • Experience in digital environment and with digital ways of working (agile, design thinking, MVP, experimentation) ideally with role as Product Owner
