The Senior Bacterial Support Lab Technician, within the Manufacturing Technology (Mtech) function of Industrial Operation is a technical contributor to the Bacterial Laboratory Unit who assists in the design and execution of small-scale development, optimization, and troubleshooting studies to support the manufacturing and continuous improvement of bacterial polysaccharide and recombinant protein cell culture-based vaccines.
Execution of bench and pilot scale experiments (bioreactor operation, culture expansion, sampling, process monitoring assays, clarification)
Ordering and maintaining supplies and materials, and laboratory upkeep
Equipment cleaning and sterilization
Solution (media and buffers) calculations and preparations
Support of problem solving through data summary and limited scope analysis
Writing Standard Work Instructions and internal development protocols and reports
Comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment requiring multitasking ability
Teamwork is a must
Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
Strong organizational skills and detailed documentation abilities are required.
Education and experience
Bachelor’s degree in a science field preferred but not required. 2+ years’ experience in cGMP environment, including laboratory experience.
Preferred hands-on bacterial or cell culture experience.
