Daily engagement on shop floor to provide SAP expertise and troubleshoot when problems arise regarding inventory and process order management.

Work directly with Planning, Batch Release, QC, and Business Systems management to compile and distribute detailed production schedule on a weekly basis. Includes additional sampling and paperwork as needed. Work with MTech to ensure project lots are supported and scheduled.

Collaborate with Manufacturing Excellence, Master Data, and QC Labware LIMS groups to ensure recipes are accurate and functional for each area on the shop floor. Submit change forms to update recipes based on input gathered from shop floor, management, change controls, deviations, Continuous Improvement, and other support groups.

Help manage availability of production materials for each building by working with procurement, supplier quality and PQMR. This engagement identifies any material issues so they can be tracked and escalated to the appropriate level.

Create all environmental planned independent demand process orders for Antigen production. Request unplanned independent demand process orders for deviation investigations, equipment failures, Continuous Improvement projects, and MTech.

Act as the main interface between the shop floor and all support groups, to report metrics and provide guidance on any of the Swiftwater business systems such as MDO/IPDN, cycle counting, water sampling, and past due phases that are related to production.    

Engage and communicate with the shop floor to provide oversight and troubleshooting with SAP, MDO/IPDN, Trackwise, and Labware LIMS. Providing SAP oversight for stock adjustments/corrections, OJT one-on-one training, resolving inventory discrepancies, deviation support, and tracking sampling status. Collaborate with Swiftwater SAP and Support group to create a tool to determine access roles needed to perform production functions.

Focus on SAP inventory accuracy for all factory unit operations. Help maintain/track monthly cycle count requirements and assist with any discrepancies that are encountered. Develop and maintain a program to periodically review key information in recipes, BOMs, and environmental sampling process orders. Submit Independent demand requests for unplanned sampling needed by Antigen or other support groups. Release the independent demand PO’s and set up the LIMs labels for the involved party. Create and distribute environmental process orders to all antigen areas monthly. Submit recipe updates to achieve a more accurate and cost effective product. Stock adjustments are used to correct SAP end of lot items. MDM forms are submitted to create/change/update LabWare samples. Required to create new recipes for all new products/strains at the Swiftwater site for any of our products. Representing Biologics at the APC board meetings and working sessions to support and improve SAP performance metrics across the site.

Point of contact for the Antigen shop floor (B14, B37, B46, B56, B59) to maintain business systems; Initiate MDO/IPDN, track, and push to closure for raw materials and bulk intermediates. Ensure Antigen areas are meeting site requirements for cycle counts. Assist with RC/CA for cycle count misses. Support internal and external audits of inventory management practices such as the PWC insurance audit to ensure inventory compliance of high value material. Run past due phase analysis weekly. Distribute reports to the affected areas pertaining to the above systems.

Work with business systems manager maintaining the job boards through updating and managing the appropriate metrics. Update the Antigen MDO/IPDN values and quantities weekly. Update the bacterial and viral lot trackers for lot release while interacting with Batch Release on a regular basis. Calculate the POV costs and yield differences as our products are put to released/stock. Work with planning to provide the numbers for schedule adherence on a weekly basis. Track the RFT BPR metrics and POP date adherence. Handle all ad-hoc requests for product cost, RFT %, lot release status and numerous other metrics.

Interface with shop floor and procurement to ensure production schedules are executed and raw materials are available to complete schedules. Attend weekly meetings with procurement staff to cover any raw material issues that arise. Help with requests from procurement to check material usage and BOM accuracy. Discuss unplanned demand for materials that affect production timelines and needs. Work with PQMR to ensure the release of raw materials when a rush is needed for production. Attend Ffast team meetings to alert the various buildings of raw material issues. Work with the numerous Ffast team resources to find a resolution to raw material issues. Submit forms to create new raw materials for each antigen area. Work with the support group overseeing the change to ensure a seamless transition to the new material. Provide production schedules to procurement so materials can be managed appropriately long term.

Work directly with Planning, Batch Release, QC, and Business Systems management to compile and distribute detailed production schedule on a weekly basis. This includes additional sampling and paperwork as needed such as BPRs, MRs, APSs, sampling forms, kinetics, and Neuraminidase. Work with MTech to ensure project lots are supported and scheduled. Train shop floor on document prep.

Integrate with the necessary Swiftwater support groups to ensure production needs/schedules are considered before major changes are made. Work with the continuous improvement group and analyze how the implementation of a change could affect the production schedule. Complete CCR action items as they are assigned to the group. Work with QA to be informed on what is needed to close deviations, and help achieve a more seamless lot release. Provide information to PI’s that is needed for deviation investigations. Responsible for providing support and oversight for SAP for capital projects. Stay informed on any and all changes from the various support groups on site.

Education/experience

BS or BA degree

Preferred:

1+ year’s experience.

Will accept technical BS with proven business management/analytical skills, excel, and oral presentation skills.

Demonstrated knowledge of MRP systems, scheduling, and data analysis.

Shop floor/manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
