Sanofi Group Production Technician in Swiftwater, Pennsylvania

This will be a 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift position.

B56 Production Technician

Performs production in accordance with volume fluctuation, business need, and effective procedures in BSA, Polysaccharide & Conjugation Operations at Building 56. This position is responsible for manufacturing activities in the assigned area.  

     

Key Accountabilities:

Completes sampling and corresponding documentation as required. Completes process order and bin to bin movements in an accurate and timely manner to ensure accurate inventory. Participates in all aspects of inventory management (SAP, cycle counting, ordering, etc.). Works to prepare assigned areas for the oncoming shifts. Completes tasks and corresponding documentation as required by cGMP. Works with Senior and Lead Technicians as well as Managers to ensure a smooth operation.

Works to become trained in all assigned training modules and present on the production floor. Actively seeks out cross training in other areas whenever possible. Trains and orients new team members (at any level) as assigned in multiple areas ( Poly, BSA, or MCON) in B56.

Participates in team meetings. Actively communicates improvement ideas, issues, concerns, etc to team members. Identifies all production issues and relays them to the leadership team. Participates in cross functional teams across B56 where necessary to complete projects in an effective and timely manner.

Ensures proper process area operation by pre and post run set up and maintenance of lab and equipment in B56. Ensure the process that yield product are running is in a GMP manner. Complete tasks such as environmental monitoring and water sampling to be completed. Works to complete quality documentation (BPR’s, logbooks, etc) accurately in a timely manner. Recommends changes to BPRs, and SWIs when warranted.

Participates in both deviation investigations when appropriate and implementation plans to ensure a quality product in all areas of B56. Works with the leadership team to complete deviation investigations and root cause analysis Write and edit documents under supervision. Can be responsible for assisting in writing and assisting incident investigations, CAPA's, change controls, along with assisting the higher tech levels and Principle Investigators with projects that are happening in B56.

Like all production positions at the Company, this position may be required to flex to another department or location within the Biologics platform due to business needs. We will attempt to provide as much advance notice as possible if any such change is needed

All other duties as assigned.

Basic Requirements:

  • HS diploma or GED and 2+ years manufacturing experience

  • Associates with 1 + year manufacturing experience or Associates in a science related field with 0 years manufacturing experience

  • Bachelors with 0 + years manufacturing experience

Preferred:

Strong self-driven work ethic with communication and time management skills. Commitment to personal and professional development by completing and giving training. Adaptability in a changing work environment required to work in an area like B56 with three different departments are running at the same time.
