The position, Manager – Supplier Documents, Supplier Quality is a technical support position and is responsible for the documentation of supplier change notifications and the development of specifications for quality managed materials in the company’s quality systems. The individual must be detail oriented and possess a high aptitude to both follow procedure and lead the resolution of issues. This position also plays a key role within the Supplier Quality Board and is responsible for managing SQB related activities and facilitating the meeting.
The individual will serve as the interface between external suppliers and Sanofi Pasteur Operations, Manufacturing Technology, Procurement, Quality Control, and Engineering groups on site. This position requires a thorough understanding of GMP’s, site manufacturing operations, and material/product testing and specifications. The individual must have demonstrated experience with our documentation, change control, and corrective action systems, as well as, leading cross-functional teams with the ability to deal with complex, analytical supplier issues that may be global in nature.
Limited travel may be required to support project related activities. This position serves the Swiftwater, PA site and oversees no direct reports. The individual will be responsible for the development of specifications and the documentation of supplier change notifications. This includes drafting/revising more than 200 material specifications and processing over 600 supplier change notifications annually.
The position requires an understanding of common business practice, strong interpersonal skills, flexibility in a dynamic environment, and the ability to lead and participate on various teams. The individual will work independently, drive actions to completion, and have autonomy in decision making. Some team/project activities may result in more direct oversight.
The position requires the ability to work in a diverse environment and draw upon experience in determining the actions needed to achieve results and remediate issues. The individual must be able to work in a fast paced environment and make balanced quality decisions. The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in written format, through multiple layers of the organization and the ability to think strategically are key to the individual’s success.
Minimum Bachelor degree with at least 5 years relevant pharmaceutical industry experience, or a minimum of 10 years relevant pharmaceutical industry experience and at least 5 years relevant experience in Quality Operations.
