Frequent business trip (1 / quarter) in France - Lyon

Position based in USA (Bridgewater or Swiftwater) to work mostly with US stakeholders (RSV, Menigitis, MenQuadTT, new vaccines)

Position for a senior MR manager / international profile

Job purpose, key tasks and responsibilities:

Provide strategic recommendations and insights based on Market Research findings:

The senior MR manager develops and pilots the MR action plan for its scope of activity (product related and transversal).

This, in good alignment with Sanofi Pasteur global strategy, with Sanofi Pasteur business planning process, and conciliating the complexity of various internal stakeholders (Franchises, Global Brand Teams - GBT, Marketing teams in regions and countries …).

  • He / she provides strategic recommendations and business insights, related to the product strategy (current and future) and to transversal or corporate matters, based on market research findings generated.

  • He / she drives and guarantees the roll-out of the MR studies of which is in charge, in time and in budget. This includes the design of appropriate methodologies, selection and commissioning of relevant research agencies, to meet internal clients business and strategic goals.

  • He / she guarantees impact and actionability of the studies conducted (leading recommendations making and communication process).

  • He / she grows Market Research excellence within all parts of the organization (synergies with other Functions/BUs, best practices sharing, networking, presentations, etc…)

  • He / she explores, recommends, and implements when appropriate innovative market research tools, likely to better address internal clients’ marketing and business needs.

Is a core membership of product related Global Brand Team and contribute to brand strategy & execution

The senior MR manager provides consultative support based on real-life perspectives obtained from key stakeholders to GBT. GBT are cross-functional teams that collectively set and execute strategy to maximize the value of Sanofi Pasteur key brands and increase.

  • He / she is the “Voice of the customer” for positioning, messaging, Launch Excellence

  • He / she provides market insights & trends to inform brand strategy

  • He / she supports market access & value-based pricing strategy

  • He / she helps inform product launch strategy through solid understanding of current market conditions, market trends, market barriers & experience associated with launch(es) of similar product(s)

  • He / she communicates relevant information to appropriate points of contact on brand team or region to assist in ongoing management of existing brand our ability to win in dynamic, competitive markets

  • Internal stakeholders: Global Brand Team, Marketing, ComOps inc. regions & countries, Medical, Strategy,

  • External stakeholders: MR vendors, Communication agencies, HCPs, KOLs, patients / consumers

Needed experience, qualifications and competencies

  • Length and width of previous experience

  • Minimum of 5 years experience of international MR in pharmaceutical industry

  • ComOps experience is a plusPS

  • Marketing experience is a plus

  • Professional qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Market Research / Marketing or MBA or Scientific & Marketing double degree

  • Functional/technical competencies

  • Fluent in English (working language), French and other language is a plus

  • MR skills & expertise: qualitative & quantitative techniques, knowledge of tools & providers in pharma, ability to formulate and drive actionable recommendations

  • Ability to challenge status-quo and to see the big picture

  • Strong project management skills, with high flexibility and autonomy

  • Behavioral competencies (key soft skills)

  • Excellent communication (oral & written), presentation & negotiation skills

  • Highly self-motivated and directed
