Sanofi Group Director, Viral Manufacturing in Swiftwater, Pennsylvania

Director, Viral Manufacturing Building B37 Head

( Swiftwater, PA ) The Director of B37 will be responsible for managing the commercial manufacturing of our Influenza vaccine drug substance. Our Influenza vaccine generates over 1B US$ in revenue, and sales are expected to further increase with the launch of another differentiated influenza vaccine in 2020. Decisions made by the Director affect GMP production and have the potential to impact the business by interrupting GMP manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

*Provide overall leadership and direction to the Influenza Bulk Manufacturing B37: This Director is responsible to ensure the manufacturing facilities and equipment is properly qualified and maintained and to verify the continued validated state of all processes and equipment within B37.

*Provide leadership and direction to ensure all Safety and Quality Standards and Regulatory commitments are met on time and with the highest standards of quality.

*Establish departmental objectives to align with site vision for safety, quality, productivity, cost, continuous improvement, and employee involvement. Ensure that those objectives are met on a monthly basis. Participate in development and execution of strategic initiatives.

*Ensure that the department staff is engaged, trained, have development plans and are actively managed.

Basic Qualifications:

*Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, or Biotechnology

*10+ years in a GMP Production, Technical Department or Program management related role in a similar industry.

*3 Years of Leadership and people management skills are required.

*Thorough knowledge of cGMPs and regulatory requirements are required.
