Deputy Director, Analytics
Summary of purpose/major responsibilities
The primary objectives of this position are to lead cross functional projects, provide assistance to Director of Analytics by helping to guide analysts on project work, and create analytics to help improve the strategy and tactics of the marketing & sales organization.
(1) Develop and oversee cross functional projects (25%)
(a) Develop Analytics projects that have significant impact on ComOps ability and are driven by key business questions to make timely decisions. Projects will include interaction with a wide range of audiences (Senior Management, Marketing & Field Management).
(b) In addition to analytical projects, position will also manage projects related to sales force/marketing resource optimization and market research.
(c) Support the Director of Analytics on major cross-functional project through duties such as coordination of committees, vendor management, and determination of analytical methodology. All projects will ensure that the company objectives are achieved.
(2) Propose and develop strategic analysis (25%)
(a) Utilize multiple tools to align with the company’s revenue goals and objectives determined by senior management.
(b) Partner closely with Analytics, Reporting, and IS Teams to ensure data/reporting required for analysis is delivered to key customers (e.g. Product Marketing, Sales, Senior Management) in a timely and accurate manner.
(c) Partner with customers, M&S Ops, and IS teams to ensure dashboards, strategic reports/analysis, and ad hoc information is delivered efficiently and timely to support business needs.
(d) Ensure accuracy of analysis by developing and adhering to QC/validation procedures to achieve the highest level of accuracy and quality standards. Contribute to team validation efforts.
(3) Lead key projects and mentor analysts (20%)
(4) Work closely with key customers to assess business needs (15%)
(a) Partner with Product Marketing, Sales, Senior Management on a range of projects.
(5) Identify industry best practices (15%)
4 – 6 years of experience relating to the fields of analytics, marketing, Market Mix modeling, sales force effectiveness or digital analytics
Bachelor’s degree required in Analytics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering
Master’s degree preferred in one of the above subjects or Business
Requires strong analytical skills and a working knowledge of sales force and marketing analytics.
Experience leading large cross functional projects a plus
Experience in healthcare industry, pharmaceuticals, or vaccines is preferred, especially in working with imperfect data sets.

Conceptual understanding of analytical techniques such as regression, decision trees, and neural networks.
Excellent management of customer expectations, listening, negotiating, and multi-tasking skills.
