The Pharmaceutical Technology Formulation and Filling Deputy Director, within the Manufacturing Technology (MTech) function of Vaccines Industrial Affairs (VIA), will support the delivery of robust and efficient processes and technology for Formulation, Filling, and Lyophilization for Drug Products.
The mission of the MTech function is to deliver robust and efficient processes with associated knowledge to transfer to Manufacturing. The MTech function also provides daily support to manufacturing toward industrial performance excellence.

You are a technical-oriented person who thrives in a fast-paced team environment. You want to:
Drive the technical strategy, team collaboration and project deliverables across the Pharmaceutical Technology landscape for multiple projects across the Swiftwater site
Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for general pharmaceutical technologies, transfers and change management implementation with emphasis on Aseptic Filling and Formulation process for Drug Products
Comply with cGMP and other internal and external quality and regulatory guidance, as well as health and safety guidelines
Encourages and ensures proactive and strong collaboration internally and across VIA functions; forward thinking with an attitude of optimization, efficiency, continuous improvement and smooth transitions between functions
Empowers and ensures accountability for yourself and your team[PA/2]
What You Will Do
You will be working on a strong technical team to:
Develop and validate new drug products processes and tech transfers at the forefront of industry standards
Optimize and safeguard our drug products and processes to ensure robustness, quality and safety
Increase process understanding by sharing knowledge across the organization through the seminar series
You will be accountable for:
Managing the performance of direct reports including 5 internal employees through regular coaching and development through strategic assignment of responsibilities
Liaison between MTech, Manufacturing, Quality Operations, Project teams, etc. and assist to troubleshoot or resolve any issues that arise
Effectively communicating information to management at all levels within the organization
Supporting the site for all internal and external audits and regulatory inspections
Leadership, within and external to their area of expertise, in the planning, prioritization and execution of development and validation studies to support project (i.e. technical transfer and new vaccine introduction), continuous improvement, and manufacturing assist activities related to Formulation, Filling, and Lyophilization
Bachelors, Masters, or PhD in basic sciences, math, engineering, or pharmacy with 6+ years’ work experience is required
Experience with manufacturing technologies for drug product (formulation and filling)
4+ years of experience with direct management, leading teams, and/or developing people
10+ years’ relevant experience
Prior experience in biotechnology production and/or quality functions
