Sanofi Group Head of Finance, Ridgefield NJ in Ridgefield, New Jersey

OVERVIEW:

  • Support and challenge local site management in decision-making process and performance improvement with robust financial & KPI's analysis, complying with local, IA & corporate rules.

  • Report and alert accurately and timely the zone/Region of results as well as risks and opportunities

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Supervise Reporting

Responsible for reliable reporting according to IFRS and Sanofi policies Ensure on time and accurate monthly reporting to Division with related comments (TdB, Headcount) Provide site management with any detailed analysis regarding expenses, variances, project follow up Challenge financial and operational results.

Lead Budget and Forecasting Processes

Streamline local processes and ensure site involvement (target setting and action plan follow up) Liaise with key internal and external stakeholders Prepare cost/benefit analysis of Productivity Improvement initiatives/projects Identify and accurately report any risks and opportunities Present financial forecast F0/F1/F2/Budget+2/Quarter Landing/Strat Plan

Act as Business Partner

Actively participate to Site Leadership team meetings/+QDCI/ S&OP meetings Identify improvement opportunities, propose and follow-up action plans. Convert operational performance initiatives into financial benefits (including GM improvement/ COGS reduction) Contribute to execution of key optimization/transformation projects (F4F) Perform ad hoc economic studies for the site or for finance management Performs new products cost simulations (Manufacturing cost review). Validate standard unit cost by SKU Sensitive transactions creation and validation Financial training and financial communication to site operations teams and key stakeholders 3rd party contract management (financial aspects + coordination of admin process), Contract Authorization Form CAF

Compliance and Audits

Coordinate internal control activities and ensure site readiness for Audits Ensure compliance with Sanofi (Global IA & Corporate) financial Policies and local requirements Implement adequate internal control processes (Delegation of authorities, SOX requirements, Internal Control toolkit) Prepare, coordinate audits (internal, external), and other IA compliance review and follow up the execution of the subsequent action plans in the agreed deadlines.

Balance Sheet Review

Responsible for the inventory/Fixed Assets Physical cycle counting Responsible to conduct impairment tests whenever necessary Optimization of Cash flow in particular inventory & Capex management

Team Management

Define annual priorities and assess performance Define development plan and training programs Manage succession plan

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting from an accredited four-year college or university

  • 8 years of professional experience

  • Industrial controlling background (budget/forecasts/Cog’s, flows & processes of an industrial unit, internal control) strongly preferred

Professional Skills:

  • Knowledge of

  • SAP

  • Applicable statute

  • Financial analysis

  • Accountancy & Costing methods

  • Analytical Ability

  • Overview and Management (Team management, communication, transversal projects, “under the spotlights” environment)
