Our Team:

The National Account Manager, Walmart Stores will work closely with the entire Sanofi Walmart Team to contribute to Sanofi CHC Values and Vision by maximizing long-term and short-term goals with our largest retailer partner. This position is based in Northwest, AR (Bentonville). This person must thrive in a team environment and maintain high-level customer contacts and relationships. This unique position will have responsibilities for carrying an omni sales desk as well as responsibilities to lead Sanofi’s Walmart Team Ecommerce Sales efforts. This role will have high visibility within the organization partnering with Sanofi’s Ecommerce Center of Excellence and leading the Sales Activation efforts for our largest customer.

From a digital perspective, this role will have both strategic responsibilities (generating transformative ideas for growth) and at the tactical level (partnering with the Ecommerce Center of Excellence to optimize the front end and back end organic key word strategies based on trends and insights). From a Brick & Mortar perspective, the National Account Manager will have high interactions with Walmart Buyers involving strategic decisions on new items, Trade Management, Promotional Planning, and Modular positioning. Understanding the role of the competitive environment, maintaining awareness of competitive conditions, and reporting them promptly to management are also required.

This desk is responsible for managing the Selson, ACT, Trial & Travel, and new business development opportunities (Front of Store, Clip Strips, etc). The desk also has responsibility to lead the E-Commerce Sales efforts through identifying areas of opportunity for the entire Sanofi portfolio working closely/driving alignment with the other NAM’s across the businesses.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Leverage brand strategy to develop Sanofi’s business with Walmart, to include delivering budgeted sales revenue, innovation sales, category share, profitability, and supply chain goals.

  • Partner with Sanofi Ecommerce Center of Excellence to identify optimized front end and back end organic key word search strategies based on trend leveraging PIM (Salsify)

  • Ensure all items both in-store and online are meeting the Walmart prescribed content standards & work with internal teams to execute onsite

  • Mine Profitero to identify digital shelf insights to drive Ecommerce growth

  • Deliver and own the assortment and eCommerce portfolio across the differing platforms and execute 1P 3P Strategies

  • Combine POS data with marketing and insight data to create compelling and comprehensive selling stories.

  • Develop accurate SKU-level forecasts each month based on expected demand, seasons, promotions.

  • Proactively identify business risks and opportunities/gap closing solutions.

  • Manages commercial discounts to meet or exceed sales forecast achievement, while staying within budget and policy guidelines

  • Forecasts sales volume and manages expenses within company policy guidelines.

  • Develops long term relationships both internally & externally with Walmart Merchants and cross-function teams

  • Define customer joint business plans that consider long-term goals, strategies, and results

  • Customer Centricity: Negotiates joint business plans at customer business planning sessions that achieves customer and Sanofi CHC business unit’s short and long-term volume and profit goals while conforming to Sanofi CHC policies. These plans should ensure customer performance at or above standards in all key merchandising areas: Distribution, Pricing, Shelf and Promotion.

  • Communicates information and customer needs across the organization. Leads, organizes, and facilitates both internal and external teams to meet customer’s needs & develops conceptual presentations drawing from all internal and external resources needed.

  • Customer Promise: Integrates Sanofi CHC customer promise in its day-to-day interactions i.e. Sustainable and profitable growth, Pragmatic, actionable and shopper centric proposals, driving the category growth.

  • Performs other duties as assigned

About You:

  • B.A./B.S. required

  • Minimum of 5-10 years of proven delivery in CPG, preferably within OTC/Healthcare/Personal Care, both top and bottom-line results required.

  • Excellent business acumen; proficient category and Health Care segment knowledge.

  • A strong leader with demonstrated track-record for exhibiting an entrepreneurial spirit coupled with a general management mindset and capabilities.

  • Strong knowledge of Retail Link/Luminate, Item360, and Seller Center platforms

  • Proficient in PIM (Salsify) & Digital Shelf Software (Profitero)

  • 3-5 years' experience utilizing Nielsen or Circana IRI syndicated data with the ability to analyze and evaluate several sources of data to develop actionable insights.

  • Walmart experience preferred

  • Ability to bring outstanding interpersonal skills (including excellent oral and written communication), strong intellect and problem-solving skills to any discussion with colleagues and/or customers.
