Sanofi Group Manager of Technical Operations in Orlando, Florida

Description:

The Translational Science and Biomarker group at Sanofi Pasteur in Orlando is seeking a manager-level position to oversee and manage its technical laboratory operations at the Orlando, FL site. The position will require an individual to manage multiple roles covering, but not limited to, specific research activities, the blood collection program, and compliancy activities associated with HSE and GRP. The position will be responsible for overseeing the site’s blood collection program, which will require regular review and updates to the collection protocol(s), preparation of documents related to IRB compliancy, coordinating donor recruitment to meet project objectives, securing contract with service providers, and overseeing the blood processing operations on-site. The laboratory operations role and responsibilities will include limited management of staff to ensure laboratory resources are acquired and equipment is maintained. Finally, the proper candidate will be responsible for overseeing and maintaining a quality program in support of campus operations and research functions. The qualified candidate will support the implementation of initiatives to meet corporate compliancy. Oversite of these programs will require the candidate to be involved at a high level and assist staff which are responsible for maintaining records of quality reports, training documents, standard operating procedures, fire safety, laboratory safety, and code compliancy. 

The position will require significant interaction with staff with varying scientific and business skills. The applicant must balance a variety of job responsibilities on a daily basis, which will require them to coordinate closely with the site head, directors, project managers, and colleagues in a seamless fashion to complete all required tasks. The position will require independent thought and a results-driven attitude while possessing strong and positive communication with the team. The position will require the proper candidate to work on multiple projects and be able to independently consult literature or company resources to solve technical and regulatory problems.   

Requirements:

PhD with 2+ years, M.S. with 4-6 years, or B.Sc. or B.A. with 6-9 years of relevant experience in laboratory operation support.

Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership for a wide-range of responsibilities.

Demonstrated knowledge/experience working with blood products/blood collections.

Effective time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.

A high level of customer orientation with a demonstrated and appropriate level of flexibility and personal dedication to finding creative ways to bring resolution to any GxP question/issue.
