Sanofi Group Site Supply Analyst in Northborough, Massachusetts

This position is primarily responsible for purchasing from specific suppliers and the materials replenishment function to Sites serving Sanofi Specialty Care Operations. The purchasing function is a critical component in the Materials Platform in Massachusetts. This position supports site operations by ensuring the availability of the correct materials at the appropriate time to satisfy customer demand.

Specific Responsibilities include:

Sourcing & Purchasing

• Procure items from approved suppliers

• Provide annual usage and forecast demand for raw material to obtain best price for standard cost setting process

• Place purchase orders and coordinating pre-approval samples in support of manufacturing

• Submit New Vendor Requests and perform Business Assessments

• Coordinate and communicate level loaded deliveries from suppliers to facilitate flow of the receiving process

• May assist with the identification of new raw materials and suppliers that are unique to the Site for development projects

• May source and negotiate quotes with suppliers

• May implement new part numbers in the ERP/GMID systems for new materials in conjunction with the Supplier Management Team (SMT)

Inventory Management

• Analyze material usage to determine appropriate stocking levels of materials at the Sites.

• Collaborate with Site Materials teams to ensure material requirements are accurately forecasted ERP (SAP or Athena) based on site schedules

• Execute safety stock policy process to establish, review and maintain safety stock levels for raw materials based on lead time and risk. Conduct review process monthly

• Report on material expiry risk and participate in network level MRB to ensure inventory level meets customer requirements while managing expiry, obsolescence, and cost savings in timely manner.

Contingency Planning

• Provide input and support for the risk assessment of raw materials

• Assess supplier risk including determining primary and secondary manufacturing locations, supplier disaster recovery plans, and evaluation of supplier’s single/sole source supply chain

Supplier Management

• Monitor Supplier Performance including On Time Delivery, Lot Acceptance and Supplier Corrective Action Report for the Site on a monthly basis

• Participate in monthly Quality Team meetings

• Lead or participate in Quarterly Business Reviews for suppliers managed by the Supplier Quality Organization

Supplier Agreement

• Support Corporate Sourcing function with Site specific requirements

• Provide forecasted annual usage versus demand, historic pricing, and on time delivery trends

• Provide scope of service and technical details

Continuous Improvement

• Participates in projects to ensure materials requirements are documented and agreed to with customers

• Continuously improves utilization of ERP system and apply MRP2 Class A principles.

• Execute Materials Management processes per SOPs and in accordance with cGMP ensuring quality and inspection readiness

• Develop and tracks metrics to maximize department productivity and cost effective use of material resources

• Issue regular purchasing performance reports and participates in site daily performance management, +QDCI.

Production Planning

• Review and establish requirements for raw materials that support the production plan

• Initiate all Distribution Requirement Planning, Integrated Replenishment or Electronic Material Transfer requests for the production plan

• Provide backup support for master production scheduling

Basic Qualifications:

• High school diploma/GED.

• Minimum of 1- 3 years’ experience in planning and/or scheduling in a manufacturing environment.

• Minimum of 1- 3 years’ experience purchasing/sourcing raw materials for production in a manufacturing environment.

• Minimum of 1- 3 years’ experience in inventory management and forecasting.

• Minimum of 1- 3 years’ experience using a MRP/ERP system. SAP preferred.

• Experience with MS Office, emphasis on Excel and MS project.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Experience working in a CGMP environment.

• Experience solving supply shortage problems and making recommendations to implement robust solutions.

• 5 years planning experience with multiple product lines in a multi-site manufacturing environment.

• APICS certification preferred.

• Advanced knowledge with MRP, DRP and MPS systems (SAP preferred).

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to structure and perform data analysis.

• Ability to articulate complex issues into simple effective messages for management.

• Intermediate level skills with Microsoft Office suite.

• Minimum 2 years’ experience leading cross-functional team to deliver significant results while reporting progress to senior leaders

• Familiar with GMP, SOX regulatory and compliance requirements.

• Effective verbal, written, and presentation skills.

• Solid inventory management skills with an emphasis on risk reduction.
