POSITION SUMMARY

The Lead, Digital Innovation & Transformation will develop strategies and lead initiatives to advance digital transformation at Sanofi Genzyme Canada, also while creating opportunities to innovate digital experiences as the organization modernizes. The role will strategically lead and consult business areas to ensure the right combination of people, process and technology are used with digital initiatives and value/benefits are realized for stakeholders. Fostering digital culture, enhancing customer experiences, informing decisions with data & analytics and digital delivery excellence are always top of mind. This individual will work closely with Local and Global/North American partners to ensure that business areas are informed and supported with their digital work. This role will have a direct impact on establishing and executing the digital strategy for the specialty care business, and will strive to provide added value to each of the brands, in order to maximize brand penetration, customer engagement, and overall brand and above brand efficiencies across the business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES FOR THIS JOB

  • Develop & continuously enhance a Sanofi Canada specialty care Digital Strategy to align all Therapeutic Areas (TA) and support functions in digital innovation and transformation efforts

  • Align and lead business areas in building up ‘key pillars’ of the Digital Strategy which include (but are not limited to): digital learning/education, customer insights analysis, data & analytics, best practices for digital product delivery, etc. Also develop associated roadmaps for each – this will allow for maximum brand penetration, highly effective customer engagement, and a larger Sanofi specialty care footprint in Canada

  • Create and maintain strong working relationships with Global Digital leaders to ensure Canada’s Digital Strategy and its activities align with Global vision & mandates

  • Work closely with ITS to inform functional, non-functional and technical requirements for new digital platforms & solutions

  • Lead ‘Digital Innovation Task Force’ members to tactically deliver on the Digital Strategy and deliver products & services in areas involving digital, which will allow for cost savings across the organization, as well as added efficiencies

  • Serve as the Specialty Care digital lead on the Digital Council of Canada to ensure alignment of digital strategies across Global Business Units (GBU) and contribute ideas & solutions that can be applied within other GBUs

  • Fulfill membership duties within Global & North American Digital councils/bodies

  • As SGZ Canada’s digital lead approver, review and approve the launch & enhancements of all digital products, focusing on: UX/UI designs, accessibility requirements (i.e. WCAG 2.0), testing results across performance, regression, BAT, UAT, penetration, etc. This will allow for a better customer experience, and will be a key piece in ensuring consistency and efficiency for all existing and new digital initiatives.

  • Work closely with Marketing, Medical, Business Operations, and other cross functional leads, both in Canada and Global/North America, in making strong strategic and tactical decisions to advance digital innovation and transformation

  • Active participation and leadership in Digital areas in brand/TA meetings, as required

KEY REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS JOB

EDUCATION:

  • Minimum university bachelor’s degree is required

  • MBA or graduate degree preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 5-10 years of pharmaceutical sales/marketing experience or work experience in life sciences/health care or tech industry

  • Minimum 5-10 years experience in digital product delivery in Agile/Scrum environments, ideally in the pharmaceutical and/or digital health space

  • Successful track record of leading digital transformation and innovation programs

  • Demonstrated track record of working and leading cross-functionally with areas such as ITS, Procurement, PMO, medical & commercial teams, etc.

  • Strong history of seeking partnerships and managing relationships with vendors; experienced in generating agreements according to scope, yet flexible and scalable to growth

  • Highly experienced in strategically integrating functions related to digital such as human-centric design, product management, data & analytics, change management, etc.

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications
