Senior Research Associate: Protein Engineering

We are seeking a motivated individual to join the Protein Engineering group within Sanofi US Biologics Research. As a Senior Research Associate, he or she will be part of a team whose focus is on protein engineering, including protein/glycan characterization, and protein/antibody bioconjugation and glycol-modification. The individual will collaborate with different groups within the company in supporting biological research by using state-of-art technologies of biochemical, biophysical, and mass spectrometric methods. This individual will perform experiments related to characterization and conjugation/modification of proteins/antibodies to select the best molecular formats, to provide conjugated molecules for in vivo and in vitro studies, and to better understand protein structure function relationships.
BS degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry or related disciplines with 2 to 8 years, OR MS degree with 0 to 6 years of experiences in protein characterization, modification/conjugation and/or purification using contemporary and traditional tools, such as spectroscopic, electrophoretic, HPLC or UPLC, and low pressure chromatography.
The successful candidate should have good communication and presentation skills.
Experience with mass spectrometry, or cell culture/transfection/protein expression, protein purification using AKTA FPLC system, or cell-based assay, is also a strong plus, but not required.
It would be desirable that the candidate possess a strong work ethic and performs experiments under minimal supervision.
