Biologics Development at Sanofi develops and implements manufacturing processes for therapeutic proteins starting with an early and strong interface with Research team. It encompasses cell line development, GMP cell banking, cell culture, protein purification and formulation development, assay development, GMP clinical biologics production for toxicological and clinical studies, release and stability testing (QC). Biologics development drives identification, development & introduction of new state-of-the-art technologies, and provides launch capable processes and analytical methods at the interface to commercial manufacturing.
As part of Sanofi Biologics Development, the Cell culture Team is responsible for the development, characterization, scale-up, and tech transfer of robust and manufacturable cell culture processes for the production of early and late stage clinical and commercial therapeutic proteins for our patients. To continuously improve future production processes and to remain competitive in the industry, CCD is committed to technology innovation, platform development, and working with colleagues from other development functions to streamline process development.
Major Job responsibilities:
We are looking for a candidate for a position at the level of Scientist who wants to join a dynamic and talented team to develop cell culture processes in support of early and late stage drug development programs. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and scientifically curious, will work effectively in cross-functional project teams, and will be able to work independently to accomplish project goals in a timely manner. He/She will ensure that the highest standards of safety and environmental compliance are maintained in the workplace; and operate under regulatory requirement for the biologics product development and manufacturing.
Lead, design, plan and conduct cell culture experiments using high throughput cell culture models, benchtop bioreactors and/or pilot scale bioreactors to support process development
Perform data analysis, prepare technical reports, SOPs, internal and external presentations
Demonstrate, develop, and maintain in-depth knowledge of principles, theories and techniques in area of responsibility
Stay abreast of relevant new technologies and published literature, including presenting at external technical forums and publish in first class technical journals
Maintain excellent communication and collaboration with colleagues in other groups and departments
Support technology transfer efforts for early, late and commercial manufacturing processes
Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Cell Biology, Biochemistry or related discipline
Ability to demonstrate highly developed scientific rigor when presented with technical challenges
Chemical engineering or Biochemical engineering major preferred
Strong record of publications in peer-reviewed journals
Exhibits scientific curiosity and ability to acquire new skills and expand knowledge base
Excellent communication skills including technical writing interpersonal interfaces, and presentation skills
Highly motivated individual with excellent attention to detail and superb organizational skills, having a proven ability to work in a highly collaborative environment to reach project objectives
Demonstrates flexibility to adjust to a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment and ability to prioritize work flow to meet timelines,
