Position Title : Scientist Assay Development
We are seeking a motivated full-time employee to work as a member of the Bioanalytics team supporting development and testing of binding and impurity assays for R&D programs within Sanofi.
Develop and implement binding assays, impurity assays such as detection of host cell proteins, and residual impurities to support programs in late Research through the POC and Development stage under minimal supervision. The typical technologies that can be used to support these methods include surface plasmon resonance (SPR) and ELISA based assays
Support a number of planned and upcoming preclinical and clinical studies for biotherapeutics, including enzymes, antibodies and other therapeutics
Support the training of additional operators and the establishment of new methods and processes to support these platforms
Write technical reports and effectively communicate results in project team meetings where needed
Manage work assignments, analyze and interpret test results, and conduct necessary troubleshooting independently with minimal supervision of the manager.
Work collaboratively in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
PhD Degree in a relevant discipline, or Master’s Degree in relevant discipline, and at least 4 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline and at least 6 years of relevant experience.
Experience in developing and analyzing immunoassays and/or host cell impurity assays.
Ability to review, understand and implement methodologies described in scientific literature to relevant programs.
Must be organized and efficient and able to work according to timelines.
Post-doctoral experience with a strong publication record.
Experience in the development of binding or cell-based assays in a GLP/GxP regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology setting.
Experience with surface plasmon resonance technology (SPR)
Experience with development or testing using Host cell protein/impurity based ELISA assays.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JMP.
