Sanofi Group Scientist - Rare and Neurological Diseases in Framingham, Massachusetts
Sanofi is seeking an experienced, versatile, and self-driven individual to join our Rare and Neurological Diseases group. The scientist will directly contribute to discovery efforts for next generation small molecule and/or biologic therapeutics to treat diseases with great unmet need. They will design, execute, and interpret laboratory experiments to test hypotheses concerning target validity and associated disease biology. Disciplined, data-driven decision making, and objective analytical skills are essential for this position. Applicants should be collaborative team members, with excellent organizational and communication skills.
NOTE: While this position is currently at the Framingham site, it will move to the new Cambridge Crossing campus in Cambridge, MA in the spring of 2022.
Design and perform in vitro and in vivo target validation studies.
Develop expertise in a disease area to explore new disease modifying strategies.
Interact effectively with colleagues spanning the spectrum of relevant functions throughout the company.
PhD in molecular/cell biology, biochemistry, physiology, or related discipline, with 1-3 years post graduate experience.
Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.
Technical expertise facilitating development of cellular models of genetic diseases and in vivo proof-of-concept studies.
Proficiency in or a strong desire to learn and perform various mouse techniques such as injections, oral gavage, blood draws, perfusions, necropsies. Experience in behavioral studies in mice a plus.
Organizational skills concerning prioritization, data management, internal and external presentations, and writing.
Strong publication record.
