Sanofi Group Research Associate Cell Line Development GMU CMC in Framingham, Massachusetts

Position Overview:

We seek a highly motivated candidate to join Cell Line Development (CLD), as part of a new team focused on mammalian cell line generation for Sanofi’s Genomic Medicine Unit (GMU) pipeline. The person in this role will work in a high-performing, fast-paced collaborative environment, developing producer cell lines expressing viral vectors for gene therapy and supporting efforts to optimize our future producer cell line viral vector platform. Work will directly support development projects within Sanofi’s GMU pipeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Active support in generation and evaluation of producer cell lines expressing viral vectors, including all preparatory steps (media preparation, cell maintenance, thaw, passaging, and other requisites).

  • Production of small-scale cell banks.

  • Contribute to preparation of reports, procedures and presentations for communication to CLD team members and project team.

  • Under supervision, plan and execute experiments, manage concurrent work assignment, analyze and interpret the results and propose next steps.

  • Contributes to lab organization, reagent tracking and other tasks as determined appropriate.

  • Compliance with all applicable regulations, ensure that work performed is conducted in a safe and compliant manner, maintenance of proper records in accordance with SOPs and policies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biological science or related discipline.

  • Hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques.

  • Self-motivated with excellent organization and time-management skills.

  • Strong attention to details and excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Mammalian cell culture experience in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology or academic setting.

  • Experience in mammalian gene expression systems and/or molecular biology techniques.

  • Able to learn quickly and excel in a past-faced highly cooperative team environment, multitask, adaptability and positive attitude.

  • Experience with automation / automated system is plus.
