Sanofi Group Postdoctoral Fellowship, Pompe Disease in Framingham, Massachusetts
Sanofi’s Rare and Neurologic Diseases Research Therapeutic Area based in Framingham, MA is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Postdoctoral Scientist to investigate pathogenic pathways and identify novel biomarkers in Pompe disease and other LSDs. The successful candidate will analyze and integrate preclinical and clinical data from a variety of ‘omics sources (proteomics, metabolomics, transcriptomics, and other assays) to identify candidate biomarkers and new potential therapeutic avenues for Pompe disease. The Postdoctoral Scientist is expected to present his/her work internally and at external scientific conferences, and to author and publish in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
Key tasks & responsibilities:
Design and execute experimental strategies to understand metabolic dysfunction in Pompe disease using preclinical and clinical biospecimens.
Conduct research to validate the affected pathways and discover potential targets in cell culture and animal models.
Implement state-of-the-art pipeline/s for data analysis and integration applicable to adjacent diseases.
Analyze, interpret, and present experimental results at lab meetings.
Publish/present findings in peer-reviewed journals/scientific conferences.
Maintain accurate records of experiments and analyses.
Maintain lucid and effective communication with manager and other colleagues.
Ph.D. in Biology, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or related field, with at 0-3 years of postdoctoral training.
Experience with proteomics, metabolomics and/or working with large ‘omic datasets
Previous first-author publication(s) in internationally recognized journals are required
Ability to meet aggressive timelines and deliverables in a collaborative environment
Excellent speaking, reading and writing skills
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Curiosity and a willingness to work independently and collaboratively as part of multi-disciplinary teams
