The Clinical Sample Coordinator works as part of a multidisciplinary team to assist with the management of biological samples in support of Sanofi’s nonclinical and clinical studies. Manage the lifecycle of samples and carry out laboratory maintenance activities to ensure samples are handled with the highest degree of quality in the laboratory following GLP/GCLP standards, regulatory requirements, standard operating procedures, and safety practices.
Receive sample shipments, document any sample issues or discrepancies, and notify appropriate internal and external colleagues as needed
Accession samples in Watson LIMS and organize samples for pickup by bioanalysts
Maintain lab equipment and perform routine operational/administrative tasks
Coordinate sample shipments to external laboratories and biorepositories upon request
Work with Biosample Managers and study teams to retain and discard samples in compliance with subject informed consent and applicable regulatory requirements
Requirements & Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor or higher in a scientific discipline or an equivalent combination of education and 0-3 years of experience
Previous LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System)/data entry experience
Biological sample handling experience preferred
Detail oriented and comfortable with repetitive tasks
Terms of employment
Monday to Friday
Day shift (e.g., 7:30 AM to 4 PM – flexibility in start/end times possible)
Minimal to no travel anticipated
Start date as soon as possible
May assist with training new staff on sample management procedures

This position is currently located in Framingham, Massachusetts with a move to Cambridge, Massachusetts planned approximately June 2021.
