Strategic Material Planner
Sanofi Consumer Healthcare US (formerly Chattem) is a leading marketer and manufacturer of a broad portfolio of branded over-the-counter (OTC) healthcare products, in such categories as allergy, upper and lower gastrointestinal, skin care, topical pain care, oral care and other OTC toiletry products. The US CHC portfolio includes well-recognized brands such as: Allegra, Nasacort, Xyzal, Dulcolax, Gold Bond, Cortizone-10, Icy Hot, Aspercreme, Rolaids, ACT, Unisom, and Selsun Blue.
We are looking for an experience materials planner to establish our overall strategy for raw materials. This role will be integral to meet our business objectives for cost reductions while supporting our production plan and customer service needs.
Responsible for planning of materials required to support production.
Develop, implement, and manage target inventory levels and material strategies
Collaborate with Procurement and Vendors on Vendor Managed Inventory or Supplier arrangements/initiatives
Monitor supplier performance to ensure OTIF targets are supported.
Provide long and short-term forecasts to Procurement/Vendors
Collaborate with Marketing and Packaging to execute product launches or changes
Work with cross-functional teams to reduce waste, delay, and excess inventory opportunities
Manages rejected inventories and assures timely disposition of rejects. Develops phase-in plans and potential obsolescence projections to support new product and/or package introductions.
BS degree in Business related field
Three years’ experience in materials planning
Proficient computer skills, especially a high level of Excel capabilities
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and team building skills
Ability to lead cross-functionally while balancing multiple priorities
Detailed oriented and extremely accurate
CPG/OTC Supply Chain experience
Knowledge of JD Edwards or SAP systems preferred
Sound knowledge of supply chain processes including manufacturing planning, demand and replenishment processes
Terms of Employment
