Sanofi Group US Head of Dermatology, Dupilumab - Cambridge/MA in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Job Responsibilities

US Head of Dermatology, Dupilumab is responsible for:

  • Collecting insights from all healthcare stakeholders (e.g. KOLs, payers, and competent authorities)

  • Generating data supplementary to the data generated by the clinical development plan. This data is either needed in support of local market access, or to generate leads for further management of the Product Life Cycle (PLC). We do this by conducting company-sponsored studies as well as by conducting Investigator-Sponsored Studies (ISS)

  • Conducting and overseeing training and education events for internal and external stakeholders

  • Working in collaborative partnership with our partner, Regeneron and your Regeneron counterparts in Dermatology, to ensure all activities are fully and seamlessly aligned with the shared brand strategy.

  • Disseminating data on our dupilumab indications within the broader framework of comprehensive value propositions for all the stakeholders in the healthcare arena.

Head of Medical Affairs Dermatology, Dupilumab will report directly to the Head of North America Medical Affairs for Sanofi Genzyme.

This position is based in Cambridge, MA.

Objectives

  • He/she will serve as a member of the Sanofi Genzyme North America Medical Affairs Leadership Team and is expected to collaborate with colleagues in Global and Regional Medical Affairs of other Therapeutic Areas, Research and Development, Drug Safety, Sales & Marketing and Regulatory to successfully support the brand in partnership with Regeneron.

  • Participate in the partnership meetings with Regeneron counterparts to ensure alignment across US.

  • Leading the development, execution, and monitoring of US dupilumab medical brand strategy, and working with functional leads on execution of tactics and associated budgets.

  • Lead, plan, and provide medical expertise for dermatology indications for US Dupilumab Medical Affairs related programs.

  • Provide inspirational leadership and focus to US Dupilumab Medical Affairs team to assure delivery of key US Medical Affairs strategy and priorities and corporate priorities.

  • Assess risks and identify issues, conflicts or gaps across the brand and portfolio and provide guidance and solutions.

  • Ensure appropriate review and approval of medical and scientific content of Regulatory, Safety, Scientific Affairs, Medical Affairs and Commercial outputs.

  • Implement measurable policies regarding customer and product medical education within the team to assure a high level of customer satisfaction and compliance.

  • Oversee the management of the dupilumab medical budget.

  • Represent US Dupilumab Medical Affairs and Sanofi Genzyme to key external audiences including HCPs, key thought leaders, medical associations, and other key organizations.

  • Develop and maintain key opinion leader relationships representing both the franchise and the broader Healthcare community as a whole.

  • Thorough understanding of FDA, OIG, HIPAA and other ethical guidelines relevant to the pharmaceutical industry , and to ensure team compliance with these external l as well as internal guidelines and standard operating procedures.

  • Collaborate with other therapeutic areas to leverage US Dupilumab Medical Affairs expertise and programs as appropriate.

  • Travel as required to support and attend conferences, symposia and other important meetings. Travel up to 50%.

Basic Qualifications

  • Must have a Medical Degree, a PhD is an advantage

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in Medical Affairs or related areas, at least 7 of which leading a medical function

  • Strong track record in developing and executing medical strategies in key markets

  • Must have a proven track record of building and maintaining a KOL network across a region

  • Must have experience of working across and building effective partnerships between various departments in a global context

  • Extensive experience and an excellent track record in dealing with safety issues is required

  • Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical / biologics business is a must

  • Must have experience of working within a complex and international company and must be able to work in a matrix environment

  • Must possess ethical standards of the highest level and have the knowledge and ability to comply with all relevant ethical, regulatory, and legal standards

  • Must be fluent in English and possess superb written and verbal communication skills; fluency in other languages is an advantage
