Sanofi Group US Director Hemophilia Patient Marketing in Cambridge, Massachusetts

POSITION SUMMARY

The Hemophilia Director Patient Marketing will be responsible for the management of unbranded hemophilia disease and lifestyle education strategy, programs and tactics that are critical to the success of the Sanofi Genzyme Rare Blood Disorders Hemophilia Team. The successful candidate will support innovation and tactical execution of the Hemophilia unbranded disease and lifestyle marketing strategies including ownership from concept to development and deployment of key digital and personal and non-personal materials and tactics. The role is responsible for close coordination to develop a complementary strategy to the Hemophilia brand strategies and for coordination with the patient support services team for program and tactic execution. The hemophilia product portfolio consists of two highly visible products and two priority launches. The US Director Patient Marketing, Hemophilia, will report to the Head of Hemophilia Marketing, US and will be based in Cambridge, MA .

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development, creation, and implementation of unbranded consumer educational materials

  • Lead non-personal digital promotional plans and tactics for consumers on hemophilia and living with hemophilia topics

  • Demonstrate deep knowledge of the Hemophilia patient journeys and educational needs

  • Support patient engagement and programs and events

  • Partner closely with field facing consumer education teams to ensure message pull through, provide support, monitor performance, and uncover opportunities and issues in execution

  • Work with cross-brand teams to develop, coordinate, and execute a cohesive consumer education and engagement strategy

  • Support strategic planning for launched and pipeline products

  • Ensure that all marketing processes, documents and tactics are developed and implemented in accordance with Sanofi Genzyme corporate compliance guidelines.

  • Lead creative agency management, status meetings, program schedules, and budgetary management

  • Foster strong partnerships with Medical Affairs, Market Research, Regulatory, Legal, and other functions

  • Has responsibility for oversight and effective management of all team members (i.e., direct and indirect reports) to include but not limited to the following:

  • Annual objective setting

  • Mid-year and end-of-year reviews

  • Coaching and counseling as appropriate

  • Employee development

  • Recruitment, selection, development, and retention of talent

  • Managing, directing & measuring work on an ongoing basis. Provides timely constructive feedback to ensure quality of work meets or exceeds company standards

  • Liaises with Legal/Compliance to ensure compliance of all marketing programs

  • Ensures proper staff assignment and timely completion of appropriate training

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor Degree and 8+ years patient education/marketing experience

  • Strong formal presentation development and delivery skills required

  • Experience managing external vendors and effective budget management

  • Demonstrated abilities to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and effectively influence, collaborate, and communicate with internal and external partners

  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and demonstrated financial, communication, and presentation skills

  • Ability to communicate and work closely with the following business functions to successfully lead initiatives: Patient Support Services, Medical, Legal, Regulatory, Business Ops and Multiple agencies

  • Knowledge of the legal and regulatory landscape pertaining to pharmaceutical marketing: including medical/legal/regulatory review committee process

  • Ability to travel 20% domestically

  • Sanofi US is only considering candidates who are currently legally eligible to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Rare disease experience preferred

  • Comfortable working in a fast pace and high expectation organization where the focus is on both what you do, and how you accomplish your goals and objectives

  • Detail-oriented self-starter capable of owning initiatives from beginning to end

  • High level of personal and professional integrity with strong work ethic
