In this role you will….
Be accountable for Independently plan, design, and execute molecular biology, RNA biology experiments to support advancement of mRNA 2.0 vaccine platform.
Be an active member of Research team at the mRNA Center of Excellence.
Evaluate potency of novel mRNA delivery vectors in animal models, cellular models as well as perform plate-based assays including functional assays, flow cytometry, and multiplex detection of mRNA or protein.
Develop, evaluate, and implement new molecular biology technology and optimize existing techniques and workflows while maintaining competitive scientific awareness, engage in scientific network.
Creating and developing advanced in vitro, in vivo and ex vivo studies utilizing nucleic acid bio-analytics, and wide range of preclinical, cell biology and optical microscopy analysis.
Responsible for data analysis, data interpretation, presentation and reporting of experimental results.
Function in highly collaborative cross functional teams.
Make scientific presentation and report project progress in mRNA center of excellence team meetings.
Basic Qualifications, Work Experience & Competencies:
PhD in microbiology or cell biology with at least 3+ years’ experience in a research laboratory or biopharma / biotech company setting.
Very strong molecular and RNA biology background with extensive hands-on experience in cell-based and molecular biology.
Hands on experience and expertise in molecular cloning, analytical tools of DNA, RNA and protein (gel electrophoresis, enzyme reactions immunoblotting, ELISA, Nanodrop, fragment analyzer), QPCR.
Understanding of cell biology, cell culture tools, florescence and confocal microscopy, quantitative image analysis, IHC, IF, and ISH staining on tissue sections and subsequent image acquisition and analysis.
Experience in developing preclinical models, immune assays, cell-based assays for immune profiling or mechanism of action.
Passionate about contributing to biotechnology and mRNA vaccine technology.
