POSITION OVERVIEW

Description

The Senior Project Manager within Sanofi Genzyme US Business Operations and support (BOS) is responsible for managing activities to optimize performance cross-functionally with tasks related, but not limited to Launch Readiness & Core Projects managed within the Portfolio Operations and Launch management team (POLM). The Project Manager will plan & define the scope of a project, investigate and document deliverables of various cross-functional work streams, develop schedules of key deliverables & milestones, and create project plans with awareness of the existing company policies and procedures related to impacted processes. This individual will facilitate the cross functional preparation, implementation and facilitation of Launches and project related to the BOS.

The primary Senior Project Manager responsibilities include the following:

  • Develop and manage launch project plans

  • Develop and maintain excel-based trackers, issue logs, and workstream scorecards, assists with maintaining workstream dashboards that help drive monitoring, quality assurance and reporting of launch deliverables and present launch dashboard to key organizational stakeholders and leadership.

  • Manage workstream meetings, develop objectives & key deliverables based on project timeline, coordination and documentation of meeting materials and action items.

  • Full support to the Launch leads

  • Facilitate project-based assignments within US Business Operations and Support

  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals.

  • Conduct stakeholder & project meetings including documenting notes, decisions, & action items for distribution and presenting recommendations during those meetings.

  • Prepare assessments of new project requests including presenting recommendations to the US POLM Portfolio Review Committee. He/she will prepare the assessments by conducting interviews, documenting current and future process flows; clarifying specific requirements, and conducting a cost-benefit analysis.

  • Identify & manage operational needs of project work and collaborate with team members to drive towards resolution of key obstacles or project completion.

  • Identify & prepare risk analysis by compiling facts from a broad variety of sources & functions.

  • Awareness of the objectives of other functions and ability to react quickly to recommend and promote efficient solutions or alternatives to complex issues.

  • Ensure project deliverables are within Scope and Budget.

  • Manage vendor partners to ensure appropriate deliverables, timelines, and budgets are maintained according to contract terms.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven ability to work independently; as well as part of a broader team, highly organized and effective in handling multiple detail-oriented projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong sense of urgency, personal commitment and ownership over work

  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, collaborate and deliver solutions in highly complex, matrix environment

  • Demonstrate leadership and ability to interact with strong collaboration

  • Ability to interact with all employees within the organization, including senior management, identify opportunities to enhance workload of the team, increase process efficiencies, and to respond effectively to the needs of the business is required

  • Superior organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication at all levels of the organization

  • Experience with systems and process oriented

  • Experience in executing on key objectives with a cross-functional scope

  • Flexible, able to adapt to changing business priorities

  • Strong administrative and computer skills, including Visio, Excel and PowerPoint

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years experience as Project Manager

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Direct experience working in a pharma or Biotech

Preferred

  • PMP Certified a plus (Project Management Professional Certification)

  • Demonstrated ability to learn, master and teach moderately complex systems and concepts

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills essential to success in this position

  • Strong collaboration, organizational and operations skills
