Senior Events Specialist, Meeting Management:
The Senior Events Specialist will coordinate the planning and organizing of internal business related functions, sales meetings, POA's, trainings etc. for Sanofi Genzyme. The role will report to the Associate Director, Meetings Management and the position will be based in Cambridge, MA.
Site selection and contract negotiation for all types of meetings and conferences
Budgetary management, financial reconciliation and post-meeting reporting to identify cost-savings achieved.
Provide hands-on event project management for all program logistics, including attendee registration and data management, food and beverage selection, speaker liaison, Audio-Visual needs and offsite venues
Provide on-site meeting management – independently and as part of a team environment.
Collaborate with internal clients and business partners to offer strategic and creative solutions that align with business and event objectives.
Provide technical and analytical support on strategic meetings management projects.
Build strong relationships with leadership and stakeholders and be the subject matter experts on meetings and events
Work directly with Logistics and Production Agencies
Keep current on key issues that may affect the company’s travelers and communicate as necessary on these issues.
Ability to travel approx. 50%, including some weekends
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi-task, juggle multiple priorities and maintain a high level of organization with a high level of detail.
Rapid learner who is able to grasp new ideas and concepts.
Demonstrated leadership and management of a team of individuals

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of meeting planning experience in professional setting or a Master’s degree with 3 years of meeting planning experience.
Proficient in MS Office skills including Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
