About the Opportunity: Senior Scientist, mRNA Vaccine Research based in Cambridge, MA

As an experienced mRNA vaccine scientist, you will be in charge of Design and execute preclinical research on LNP/mRNA vaccine candidate.

In this role you will….

  • Design and execute preclinical research strategies to evaluate the efficacy and mechanism of action of mRNA candidates using primary cell cultures and animal studies.

  • Critically analyze, interpret, and report experimental results; draw appropriate conclusions and design next steps.

  • Present results and strategies within the department, externally, and to internal governance committees as required.

  • Provide subject matter expertise in immunology and mRNA technology to internal project teams and committees as scientific functional lead.

  • Ensure that the group maintains current awareness in area of expertise, enhance the scientific credibility.

  • Contribute to the writing of protocols, reports, and other documents when appropriate.

  • Supervise Associate Scientist(s) and/or Research Associate(s) as needed under limited supervision of management.

About you

Basic Qualifications, Work Experience & Competencies:

  • Ph.D. or MSc in immunology or related field with at least 3 years of experience.

  • Independence in experimental design and execution, data analysis, interpretation, and presentation of in vitro / in vivo analysis of immune responses.

  • Proficiency with multiple cutting-edge technologies to assess immune cell function including, but not limited to, cell imaging, ELISA/ELISOPT, cytotoxicity assays, multi-parameter flow cytometry, Luminex technologies.

  • Ability to be self-motivated and accomplish job tasks with little supervision.
