Sanofi Group Project Specialist in Cambridge, Massachusetts
The Project Specialist within Sanofi Genzyme US Business Operations and Support (BOS) is responsible for monitoring and coordinating activities to optimize performance cross-functionally with tasks related, but not limited to launch initiatives & other core projects managed within the Portfolio Operations and Launch management team (POLM). The Project Specialist will develop a strong understanding of roles & responsibilities of unique work streams, key deliverables & milestones, and project plans & timelines as well as the policies and procedures related to impacted processes.
The primary Project Specialist responsibilities include the following:
Coordinate, and lead when applicable, stakeholder & project meetings include drafting notes & action items for distribution as well as follow up on the resolution of open items.
Conducts a prep meeting with a workstream lead
Develop & maintain excel-based trackers
Develop, maintain, & coordinate resolution within an issue log
Maintain senior leadership scorecards
Distribute action Items and updated trackers/dashboards
Facilitate workstreams meetings
Collect content from members on behalf of the workstream leads (concerned about bandwidth requires a refined scope)
Support the launches workstream leads
Logistical communication and management of distribution lists
Facilitate project-based assignments within US BOS
Prepare initial assessments of new project requests including conducting interviews, draft minutes, and present recommendation to Portfolio Review Committee on next steps.
Coordinate operational needs of project work and collaborate with team members to drive towards project completion.
Identify & prepare risk analysis by compiling facts from a broad variety of sources & functions to
Awareness of the objectives of other functions and reacts quickly to recommend and promote efficient solutions or alternatives to complex issues.
Skills and Requirements:
Proven ability to work independently; as well as part of a broader team, highly organized and effective in handling multiple detail-oriented projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong sense of urgency, personal commitment and ownership over work
Strong communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, collaborate and deliver solutions in highly complex, matrix environment
Demonstrate leadership and ability to interact with strong collaboration
Ability to interact with all employees within the organization, including senior management, identify opportunities to enhance work load of the team, increase process efficiencies, and to respond effectively to the needs of the business is required
Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication at all levels of the organization
Experience with systems and process oriented
Experience in executing on key objectives with a cross-functional scope
Flexible, able to adapt to changing business priorities
Strong administrative and computer skills, including Visio, Excel and PowerPoint
2 years minimum of managing projects or processes
Direct experience working in a pharma or Biotech a plus
Experience in Project Management
Demonstrated ability to learn, master and teach moderately complex systems and concepts
