Sanofi Group Principal Program Manager, Global Medical Affairs- Oncology, Cambridge, Massachusetts in Cambridge, Massachusetts

The Principal Program Manager, Medical Affairs Oncology will support the business-related initiatives for their respective products. This individual will work closely with the Therapeutic Area teams, both internally and with our collaborative partner Regeneron, to support the operational execution of various programs including launch deliverables depending on the LCM of the product. The individual in this role, while working in a matrix team of people and resources, will support the Global and North American Oncology team to ensure alignment of all activities within the portfolio.

Specific duties (non-exhaustive list)

  • Build Oncology Program Management support for the Therapeutic Area

  • Support new product launch

  • Optimize communication and decision-making by ensuring cross-functional representation at core team meetings as well as various Medical Affairs’ programs.

  • Provide guidance to internal/external partners regarding business-related initiatives. Support all operational activities to ensure work flow and processes are efficient and compliant with internal SOPs and external guidelines.

  • Support the management of portfolio budgets to address operational implications of shifts in financial targets. Provide recommendations to Sr. Leadership regarding opportunities to increase cost flexibility and achieve financial targets

  • Manage portfolio & operational level activities via a harmonized Program Management Tool.

  • Support the development of the Medical Affairs Plan. Ensure program activities and tactics are executed according to established timelines.

  • Support the engagement of stakeholders, cross-functional alignment, and communication across medical affairs to respond to critical business needs & optimize decision-making.

  • Build and maintain strong and collaborative partnerships with internal and external parties. Serve as an advocate for the overall collaboration with Regeneron and its objectives.

Basic Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have background in biotech/pharmaceutical industries as well as direct experience in project/program management; scientific background and medical affairs experience preferred

  • Bachelor of Science (BS) required, advanced degree in science preferred, MBA is a plus

  • At least 1 year of research/clinical experience

  • At least 2 years of project/program management or relevant experience in biotech/pharma or clinical/scientific environment

  • Ability to lead project and implement strategy into tactical plan

  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methodology

  • Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration coordinating cross-functional teams (matrix environment)

  • Ability to manage projects with minimum supervision from end to end

  • Ability to establish and provide frequent reporting dashboards with key metrics

  • Strong interpersonal and communication experience with the ability to effectively interface across all levels of the organization, strong organizational skills

  • Ability to multitask and maintain tight timelines and priorities in a highly professional manner

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of program/project management software
