Sanofi Group Principal Applications Statistician (Director) in Cambridge, Massachusetts
Provide leadership, guidance and strategic input on implementation of advanced, innovative statistical methods and tools. Lead development and implementation of multiple applications and be the go-to person of implementation of applications with extensive knowledge in multiple application fields. Lead an internal innovative statistical methodology working group as necessary and may act as a consultant to other project questions. May provide direct supports to special studies or analyses that require innovative design applications.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Lead development and implementation of applications of advanced, innovative statistical methods . Promote the implementation of cutting edge designs and methods across studies and projects through innovative application enabling and effective trainings.
Act as the go-to person of implementation of applications with extensive knowledge in multiple application fields.
Provide leadership and strategic inputs to the direction of statistical tool development to meet the business needs.
Lead an internal innovative statistical methodology working group as necessary and may act as a consultant to other project questions.
May provide direct supports to special studies or analyses that require innovative design applications.
Ensure productive collaborations with project statisticians and B&P analytical programming leaders, and with other functions in the aligned tool development when necessary. Represent statistics to participate (and lead if applicable) in key scientific or technology working groups or lead key cross function initiatives.
PhD (US)/MS in statistics or related discipline with at least 8 years of experience
Proven success and excellent track record of innovative statistical tool development and implementation
Demonstrated potential leadership and great interpersonal/communication skill
Full understanding of advanced statistical concepts and techniques. With the capability to quickly acquire knowledge in new statistical frontiers.
Excellent R/SAS programming skills
