Sanofi Group Performance Improvement Specialist in Cambridge, Massachusetts

The purpose of this position is to work with managers and employees through the Performance Improvement process providing support and guidance to employees, management, and Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP), consulting with legal counsel as needed, to create an overall high performance and healthy work environment. Implements and execute Performance Improvement practices that create a positive organizational culture and enable management effectiveness.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide consultative support and guidance to managers on resolution of employee performance concerns, ensuring performance gaps are understood to determine the ongoing coaching or corrective and/or disciplinary action needed.

  • Foster communication between employee and management by providing a mechanism for expressing concerns without fear of reprisal and mediating situations where appropriate.

  • Influence positive change by being not only reactive but proactive in addressing Performance Improvement.

  • Partner with HRBP to ensure open communication regarding performance matters and discipline.

  • Assist in developing and support delivery of training and other proactive measures to ensure a high performing organization.

  • Participate in planning, developing, recommending, and implementing Performance Improvement practices and procedures.

  • Consolidate Performance Improvement cases using database to analyze data and prepare trend analyses. Prepare ad hoc reports.

  • Conducts analysis looking at trends to proactively educate HRBPs and HR Leaders.

  • Works closely with HRBPs, Employee Relations, Legal, employees and management.

  • Maintain files with all related documentation and actions taken.

MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with minimum 3 years of HR or similar work experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to build and maintain effective rapport with teammates, employees and managers and maintain constructive working relationship despite disagreement.

  • Track record of quickly establishing credibility and influencing others.

  • Ability to stay objective and fair when dealing with sensitive situations.

  • Be tactful, maintain confidences, and foster an ethical work environment.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with company values.

  • Demonstrate issue resolution skills with ability to negotiate and resolve complex matters after reviewing the facts, maintaining a solutions-oriented approach.

  • Demonstrated internal consulting skills, able to partner effectively and participate in joint problem solving.

  • Strong communication skills on all levels: listening, verbal, written and presentation.

  • Must be self-directed and able to handle multiple, concurrent issues with minimal supervision and a sense of urgency.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, ability to process information quickly and concisely provide alternatives, adaptability to changing situations and environment needed for success.

  • Interested in and ability to understand the business and how HR can enhance the overall work environment.
