Sanofi Group Head, Patient Support Services – Rilzabrutinib in Cambridge, Massachusetts

This position is accountable for the design, development, and execution of patient support services for all indications associated with Rilzabrutinib. This role is also a member of both the Rilzabrutinib commercial leadership team and the US NA PSS leadership team. This role is responsible for all aspects of Patient Support including patient support programs and any field teams that may support the product.

Key Responsibilities:

Build the teams and programs that will provide industry leading patient support services to remove barriers to access and affordability. This role will lead and be heavily involved with designing and implementing the patient services needed to support the initial US commercial launch indication of Rilzabrutinib. The Head of PSS for Rlizabrutinib will also be accountable for the all aspects of design, transformation, communication, and execution of reimbursement and patient services on an ongoing basis, while continuing to provide support for additional indication launches. Specific responsibilities including:

  • Strategic Planning and launch readiness for multiple indications – including long-term budget and headcount planning to for the Rilzabrutinib PSS organization)

  • Rilzabrutinib commercial Leadership Team member –Visible and active participant within the Therapeutic Area (TA) to ensure integration, training, and funding of Patient Support teams and to strategically align with the commercial team members.

  • Member of Sanofi Genzyme PSS Sr. Leadership team representing Rilzabrutinib brand and providing input and decision-making impacting PSS enterprise operations and transformation.

  • Management of large and complex budget, working closely with finance partners to provide input, guidance, and planning for both personnel and programs.

  • Lead efforts to identify and implement digital tools and technology solutions used to deliver patient support services.

  • Collaboration with Marketing, Public Affairs, Market Access, Medical Affairs/Information, Legal/Compliance and Regulatory, to ensure consistency across brand plans, communications, and other efforts.

  • Delivery of presentations to senior leadership regarding program status, metrics, and financial, including regular status reports and data-points critical to internal stakeholders.

  • Ensure all programs maintain the highest level of quality and compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements to operate in audit ready status.

  • Approximately 20% travel required

Basic Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Minimum of 10-12 years’ experience in the biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industries with at least 3 years’ significant leadership and patient support experience

  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, along with the ability to understand and communicate clinical profiles

  • Leadership, relationship management, conflict resolution and ability to work collaboratively, along with strong organizational and operational skills

  • Demonstrated relationship building at all levels of the organization

  • Exhibits outstanding written and oral communications skills, including the ability to write and deliver presentations to professionals at all levels within Sanofi

Preferred Qualification:

  • MBA or advanced degree

  • Rare Disease therapeutic experience preferred, but other backgrounds are welcomed especially if experienced with multi-indication assets

  • Prior customer support experience preferred

  • Familiarity and experience with PSP systems and analytics including Agile methodology

  • Experience building patient support and field reimbursement teams

The successful candidate will be required to sign and execute a restricted covenant upon hire.
