Sanofi Group Global Head, Medical Evidence Generation Strategy in Cambridge, Massachusetts
This person will play a key leadership role within the Global Medical Rare Disease team. He/she will report directly into the Global Medical Affairs Head RD.
He/she will be in charge of of coordinating with Rare Medical Therapeutic Heads in developing the global medical evidence generation strategy for key priority assets in clinical development in alignment with the global brand strategy. He/she will provide methodologic and operational guidance and leadership across the portfolio and molecules in the pipeline and bridge product specific strategy and evidence generation. Main activities include identification of assets’ medical gaps, prioritization process across the portfolio, and development of tactics to fill the prioritized gaps.
Develop, coordinate and lead the evidence generation strategy for key priority assets in collaboration with therapeutic area medical.
Identify key strategic evidence gaps while driving disease awareness.
Provide guidance for evidence generation and efficient execution of medical studies, including interventional and observational research across the portfolio and pipeline, data generation, data mining, medical education, and other tactics to fill important data gaps on clinical practice and access for prioritized molecules.
Provide methodological guidance for investigator-initiated studies (IIS) and scientific research collaborations (SRC).
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to generate real world evidence to demonstrate product values.
Contribute to clinical trial design on key endpoints, including PROs, and statistical analysis plan.
Build strong interactions with key stakeholders in a matrix organization including Commercial, Scientific Communications, Clinical Science & Operations, Regulatory, Safety and Pharmacovigilance, Value & Access, Clinical Development, Strategy & Business Development, to ensure shared / integrated strategic vision for the rare disease portfolio.
Build strong interactions with key stakeholders in a matrix organization including R&D, Commercial, Clinical Science & Operations, Regulatory, Safety and Pharmacovigilance, Value & Access, to ensure shared / integrated strategic vision for the key priority assets.
Prioritizes activity and resource allocation across the therapeutic area portfolio.
- PhD or MD, specialization in outcomes research methodologies
In-depth understanding of and proven success in how to conceptualize, design, and conduct complex, global studies.
Sound scientific and clinical judgment, including in-depth understanding of healthcare environment worldwide.
In-depth understanding of and proven success in how to successfully work with clinical study groups, professional organizations, and KOLs.
Broad and formal leadership experience, including excellent “leadership presence” to represent Medical Affairs within the company, to other functions, and to leaders at every level.
Ability to manage competing priorities and projects, as well as expectations.
