Sanofi Group Global Digital Lead - Breast Cancer in Cambridge, Massachusetts

The Global Digital Lead – Breast Cancer is responsible for leading strategic engagement with in-market stakeholders to design and implement digital experiences for Sanofi’s breast cancer franchise. This includes establishing relationships with both marketing and other cross-functional partners to champion the compliant adoption and expansion of omnichannel marketing activities. The global digital lead – breast cancer will work with other cross functional teams, IT, Sanofi Genzyme global Omnichannel, global digital innovation, commercial operations, marketing teams and their creative and media agency partners to continually advance and improved the digital capabilities and execution.

The global digital lead – breast cancer has accountability for driving customer satisfaction and business outcomes as related to digital marketing. The incumbent for this role must have the ability to effectively engage, influence and challenge key stakeholders in order fully leverage the capability. The global digital lead – breast cancer must also ensure satisfaction and ongoing continuous improvement of existing capabilities and team skill sets. The global digital lead – breast cancer role requires strong leadership skills, business acumen, solid understanding of digital marketing and media solutions, and cultural awareness to develop and implement digital initiative across the globe.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategy Development:

  • Lead the development of the breast cancer digital strategy, including the development of an external competitive perspective and impact on our business today and over next 3-5 years

  • Provide digital leadership and expertise to develop and deliver optimized digital approaches including but not limited to search, web marketing, mobile app dev, social media, online advertising/media advertising, content marketing, automation, and personalization to build great customer/patient experiences that differentiate the breast cancer brands

  • Partner with Sanofi Genzyme global Omnichannel and lead the strategic development of optimized omnichannel customer experiences

  • Partner with CDO (Digital Health, Patient Support Services, Analytics) to lead the strategic development of patient support services and digital health programs that help patients achieve better outcomes

  • Leveraging existing KPI frameworks, ensure relevant metrics are in place to monitor success and business impact of omnichannel and digital health programs, including ROI where appropriate.

  • Seek out business partnership opportunities with third party organizations/companies involved in Omnichannel to improve customer interaction and overall business performance.

Develop and Execute:

  • Lead and execute key digital initiatives and campaigns including brand planning, agency/vendor briefings, campaign execution, digital health projects and innovation processes

  • Work within Brand Teams to provide customers with core messages via appropriate digital channels

  • Work closely with Omnichannel group to implement optimized customer experiences leveraging the omnichannel ecosystem e.g., Adobe/SFMC, Consent, etc.

  • Work in close collaboration with enabling and platform functions seamlessly execute digital programs to time, budget and within compliance

  • Measuring ROI: Leverage existing KPI frameworks and connect the right data and metrics to our objectives to assess how our Omnichannel campaigns and efforts are making an impact.

Cross-Functional Leadership:

  • Develop business relationships with global and in marketing brand teams, as well as business leaders within key markets to champion and accelerate adoption of digital capabilities

  • Responsible for driving strong working relationships between Omnichannel Strategy Leaders and cross-functional operational partners to align and document ways-of-working to optimally embed digital/omnichannel capabilities.

  • Lead digital/omnichannel efforts and be the central point for customer experience, digital campaign management and execution across all customer channels

  • Use new ways of working such as Agile to interact with countries and functions to enable success of programs

  • Lead, motivate and develop the knowledge, skills and capabilities of the brand teams

Essential for the Role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Solid and rounded digital/omnichannel expertise within healthcare or from other industries with a focus on creating great customer/consumer/patient experiences

  • Innovation mindset and experience of applying innovation processes to develop digital products and services with a potential to disrupt the market

  • Strong analytical capability to understand the customer and sound business & commercial knowledge to understand the impact

  • Ability to think and act strategically combined with an ability to translate plans into operational reality

  • Experience in Agile and strong program management skills

  • Understanding of the key drivers in brand and customer facing activities

  • Strong track record of working collaboratively across functions and markets in a high matrix working environment

  • Organizational, cultural, and interpersonal sensitivity

  • Experience working with agencies/vendors & strong team management skills

  • Proven managerial and leadership skills, especially strong influencing ability

Desirable for the Role:

  • Oncology experience

  • MBA

  • Demonstrated leadership and coordination across teams to deliver strategic objectives

  • Experience in successfully leading innovative projects
