Job Summary

The Director Program Management Global Medical Affairs Immunology/Oncology will be responsible for overseeing two therapeutic areas, Immunology and Oncology, and a group of five direct reports. The person in this position will be heading the business-related initiatives for the respective products in the two portfolios which include both Global and North American teams and activities. This individual will work closely with the Therapeutic Area teams, both internally and with our collaborative partner Regeneron, to lead the operational execution of various programs including launch deliverables depending on the LCM of the product.

The Oncology program management is an emerging team, and the individual in this role will responsible for guiding the Oncology PM in establishing the Global and NA Oncology program management. The head of the Immunology/Oncology team will be accountable for the following: overall portfolio management, stakeholder alignment, facilitating creation of the integrated brand plans, ensuring successful execution of launch activities, financial portfolio management, and process improvement initiatives. The person in this role, while working in a matrix team of people and resources, will also ensure that teams operate in collaborative, open, and productive environment.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as Immunology/Oncology program management lead for the team and the therapeutic areas

  • Work closely with therapeutic area heads and Medical Directors on defining gaps and priorities

  • Responsible for aligning specific therapeutic area activities with capabilities/resources of the PM team

  • Lead development and implementation of the harmonized PM Tool and dashboards

  • Support development of integrated Medical Affairs Plans. Ensure program activities and tactical executions are linked to program strategy; identify risks and need for risk mitigation and/or escalation

  • Ensure financial tracking and budgeting process

  • Engage stakeholders, ensure cross-functional alignment, and facilitate communication across medical affairs to close strategic-execution gaps, respond to critical business needs & optimize decision-making

  • Build and maintain strong and collaborative partnerships with internal and external parties, including Regeneron

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have a solid background in project/program management in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry and preferably scientific background

  • BA/BS required; Graduate degree preferred (MBA, MS or Ph.D. in a technical or scientific field).

  • At least 10 years of project/program management or relevant experience including experience leading cross-functional teams or at least 5 years of project management experience after at least 5 years of scientific/clinical experience; management experience is a plus

  • Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration coordinating cross-functional teams (matrix environment) while securing agreed deliverables in due time, quality and budget

  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, planning, and oral & written communication skills

  • Domestic and international travel required (up to 20%)
