Sanofi Group Associate Scientist in Cambridge, Massachusetts
Sanofi Immuno-Oncology Therapeutic Area is seeking an experienced and highly motivated associate scientist to support programs on next-generation cellular therapies in the field of Cancer Immunotherapy. The successful candidate will contribute in design and execution of proof of concept and validation assays. He/she will support projects from early development and will have opportunity to work in a cross-functional environment. The candidate must be driven, resourceful, and able to work independently. Excellent organizational skills in management of data, reagents, and equipment are essential. The candidate will participate in regular team meetings and present results, interpret data, and formulate conclusions. Teamwork, collaboration with colleagues across disciplines, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are critical. The position is based at Precision Cytokines and Cell Therapies cluster in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.
Key Responsibilities :
Plan, execute and troubleshoot experiments to support advancement of projects.
Isolation, phenotypic and functional characterization of primary human and mouse cells.
Optimize and execute immune cell-based in vitro assays (cytokine release, proliferation, activation, cell killing etc.).
Cell line development and maintenance.
Design and optimize multi-parameter flow cytometry panels, perform ELISA and MSD.
Analyze and interpret data and draw conclusions to help decide next steps.
Document all protocols, experimental data and results in electronic notebook with accuracy and timeliness.
Present data and conclusions in regular group meetings.
Contribute to daily laboratory activities (including procurement and organization).
Work in BSL2 environment.
Excellent organization skills and attention to detail.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Biochemistry, Biology, Biophysics, Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry OR
A related field in the Life Sciences plus minimum 1 years of relevant research experience in industry or academia OR Master’s Degree.
Must have permanent US work authorization
Basic knowledge of fundamental immunology and prior experience with CAR-T or NK cells is preferred.
Working knowledge of molecular biology and gene editing (CRISPR/Cas9) a plus.
Preference will be given to candidates with background in the biotech/pharma industry.
Co-Authorship of peer-reviewed publications, patents and presentations are considered a plus.
