Sanofi Group Associate Director, Sales Performance Analytics in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Associate Director: Reporting & Analytics; Contracting & Sales Performance and Effectiveness, Synvisc

Role Overview & Key Objectives:

The Associate DIrector for Reporting & Analytics; Sales Performance and Effectiveness analyzes and tracks productivity progress of the Joint Health sales team through quantitative key performance indicators to drive and accelerate core business growth.

  • Tracks brand performance updates through formalized integrated approach to early reads and warning signs.

  • Partner with Sales and Brand teams to provide reporting, insights, and performance reviews to upper level leadership

  • Provides sub-national analytic updates (standard & ad-hoc) to proactively understand and support brand strategy at national and local levels to improve regional effectiveness, impact, and focus.

  • Supports delivery and refinement of Weekly Dashboard Reporting, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI) process and reporting by collaborating with Sales, Marketing and Business Intelligence.

  • Support and partner with the Contracting, Customer Service, and Trade Data Management teams to support the field team requirements surrounding Synvisc contract; implementation, administration, adherence and evaluation, as well as opportunity identification.

  • Direct support to the Key Account director in evaluating and implementing opportunity driven initiatives against key customer groups and segments.

  • Refines and develops consistent, concise reporting to Sales and Brand Marketing teams including sales, managed markets, resource/TRACE field funding, forecast/budget, incentive ranking and call activity/PDE metrics to ensure tracking of performance objectives.

  • Partners with Field Reporting team on rollout, upgrade, enhancement and monitoring of trends/analysis via Qlikview/Qliksense Field Reporting tool.

  • Collaborates with business development, sales support, and brand teams as it relates to assessing/tracking business impact of brands investments, and future launch brands across BU.

  • Consolidates and summarizes key insights that support action planning by working closes with Marketing and Sales Leadership.

  • Partnering with the Data Management and RCM teams to handle field operations data support and reporting capabilities across Veeva (field force automation) and Qliksense (field reporting) to support in-line brands and future portfolio changes.

  • Partnering with Brand, Market Access, and 3rd party vendors to assist in Managed Care access pull-through initiatives, offering contract pull-through analytics and perspectives on the Joint Health Managed Care landscape, tools and resources.

  • Partner with training to provide a complete understanding of Sales Analytics/Data process and issue reporting/resolution through specific training, handling inquiries and gathering field feedback.

  • Partner with Field Operations and Sales on operational pull-through, improvement and communication of Incentive Plans, Targeting and Call Plan.

  • Engage in field based support and observation to improve understanding of how reporting products are utilized by the field team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university (MBA a plus).

  • 3 - 5 years of experience performing operational business analytics, market research analytics or similar within the pharmaceutical industry and/or equivalent sales experience.

  • Must have excellent analytical, strategic thinking, creativity and problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Analytic experience and of marketed and new product pharmaceuticals.

  • Excellent systems skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Qlikview/Qliksense, SAS Enterprise Guide).

  • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams at various levels of the organization.

  • Strong project management, written and verbal communication skills.

  • Self-starter who functions well independently and within a team.

  • Experience w/ secondary data sources including Rx, pharmacy claims, payer, formulary, HCP affiliations.

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changes in a fast paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to partner with stakeholders and work in a team environment across departments.

  • Familiar with pharmaceutical sales structures, sales reporting and sales targeting alignments.
