The Associate Director of Project Management is responsible for the development and delivery of business process improvement and technical system implementation projects within the Sanofi Genzyme Global Business Operations Program Management Office (PMO). The PMO works on projects that address known business issues or that drive enhancements through better leverage of existing systems to reduce complexity across Sanofi Genzyme. The position will support our key Business Operations objectives and execute projects that ensure our employees and processes have maximized efficiencies. This position will interact with senior leadership and subject matter experts to develop solutions that improve process performance by increasing efficiency and ensuring a best in class team. This includes managing projects from end-to-end including system enhancements, process assessments, requirements gathering, designing enhancements, communication and training. The responsibilities will also include collaboration and partnership with the business units, training and change management teams as well as our ITS organization.

The primary responsibilities include the following:

  • Project Management (development of project plans, status meetings, project reporting, etc.) across various projects within Business Operations. This includes projects impacting our sales representatives, speakers, customers, patients, etc.

  • Documentation of current state and future state business processes

  • Development of recommendations jointly with the business units, ITS and senior leadership

  • Preparation and presentation to management of findings and implementation plans

  • Proactively identify opportunities and best practices across business processes and technology solutions

  • Coordinating or developing and executing communication and training strategies

  • Coordination of cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, ITS)

  • Drive continuous improvement to the business processes and systems across Sanofi Genyzme


  • 7+ years of experience working with cross-functional teams

  • Project Management expertise required

  • Excellent in Microsoft Office PowerPoint and Excel

  • Bachelor Degree

  • Willingness to travel up to 10% of time

  • 7+ years managing projects

  • Experience leading teams

  • Superior organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication at all levels of the organization

  • Ability to influence, collaborate and deliver solutions in highly complex, matrix environment

  • Experience budgeting, planning and executing on key objectives with a cross-functional scope

  • Strong analytical capabilities and familiarity investigating complex data sets

  • Flexible, able to adapt to changing business priorities

  • Extreme attention to detail and capable of asking insightful questions

  • Ability to multitask and deliver results within timelines

  • Strong interpersonal skills; customer-service oriented

  • Must be able to work well independently as well as part of a broader team

  • Strong sense of urgency, personal commitment and ownership over work


  • System Implementation experience a plus

  • Commercial Operations experience a plus

  • Consulting experience a plus

  • PMP Certified a plus (Project Management Professional Certification)

  • Pharmaceutical experience

  • MBA a plus
