Sanofi Group Associate Director, Medical Publications, Pediatric Dermatology (Cambridge, MA) in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Job Description:

The Associate Director of Medical Publications will collaborate with the broader medical and clinical teams to develop the strategic publication plan and guide publication development to disseminate scientific and clinical data for Dupilumab (Dupixent) in current and future pediatric dermatology indications. Publication tactics include abstracts and presentations for medical and scientific congresses and manuscripts. This role will report to the Scientific Director of Global Scientific Exchange & Communications. The role will involve close collaboration with external and internal authors, cross-functional stakeholders, medical publications agencies, alliance partners, and global affiliates.

The ideal candidate will have publications management experience and a clear understanding of publication strategy and planning for both marketed products as well as products in clinical development. Candidates must possess the ability to direct multiple complex projects and have an understanding of the policies and best practices governing publications globally.

Domestic and international travel will be required (approx. 15%)

Key Responsibilities:

Support the development of the annual strategic and tactical global publications plans for dupilumab to Ensure compliant execution and completion of all clinical publications in accordance with medical strategies, industry guidelines (ie, ICMJE, GPP), Sanofi policies, and established timelines Contribute to or lead global publication planning team meetings, as well as publication workstream, departmental, and other cross-functional meetings Facilitate decision-making on publication flow and prioritization Work with Publications agency to manage operational logistics associated with publication planning and execution Coordinate external and internal resources in the development of tactics to meet objectives in a cost-efficient and timely manner Develop and maintain reasonable expertise in pediatrics, dermatology, and allergy therapeutic areas and dupilumab mechanism of action Participate in the cross-functional data analysis discussions and work closely with biostatisticians to develop and fine tune analytical plans to meet publications strategic objectives Participate in relevant cross-functional teams and task forces and give presentations to colleagues and senior management as needed

Key Qualifications:

  • Advanced scientific or clinical degree in the life sciences (e.g., Ph.D., Pharm.D., M.D.)

  • 5-7 years’ experience in medical affairs, publications, scientific communications, or related role

  • Knowledge of industry guidelines pertaining to data dissemination (e.g., CONSORT, ICMJE, GPPs) and interactions with health care providers (e.g., PhRMA Code, AdvaMed guidelines)

  • Experience and demonstrated skill in the analysis, communication and presentation of complex scientific and medical data

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, and verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment, and also work independently on multiple projects simultaneously
