Sanofi Group Associate Director, Market Development - Respiratory in Cambridge, Massachusetts

Position : Associate Director, Market Development

Position Overview

The Associate Director, Market Development will lead strategic marketing development initiatives and operations to support best-in-class commercialization of DUPIXENT for multiple Type 2 respiratory inflammatory diseases including current approved and future indications.

Key responsibilities, competencies and expectations of this role include but are not limited to:

  • Leadership and overall execution of a promotional and unbranded speaker’s bureau, including content approval, speaker credentialing, training, utilization and metrics assessment in collaboration with our alliance co-promote partner

  • Support development and execution of strategic marketing tactics associated with medical congresses and field-based thought leader liaisons

  • Leads evaluation and execution of market development opportunities with select medical congresses in line with the life cycle management plan

  • Interface with national thought leaders to deliver differentiated disease state education resources Support market development objectives for healthcare providers focusing on physician and mid-level providers

  • Management of advisory board process and execution

  • Collaborates with sales, medical affairs, legal, and regulatory to ensure cross functional alignment and execution of projects and priorities

  • Work effectively within the established corporate and industry compliance guidelines

  • Processes and champions projects through Regulatory and Compliance Committees

  • Manages agency and vendors to develop and execute marketing and educational programs

  • Supports the management of the Market Development budget

  • Acting as a sponsor and ally for inclusion and diversity in all elements of our business

  • Compliance with all forms of legal and statutory regulation within domain of responsibility, including compliance with applicable SOPs, industry codes of practice and best practices and actively support and promote a compliance culture and safe environment throughout the organization

  • Willingness to travel up to 40% of time

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum Level of Job-Related Education: Bachelor’s degree

  • Successful track record in pharmaceutical operations, project management or marketing with 5+ years relevant experience with increasing job responsibilities

  • Demonstrated history of operational excellence and ability to deliver time bound projects within agreed timelines

  • Prior experience managing multiple projects and related budgets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in developing market development strategies and tactics

  • Experience with regulatory the pharmaceutical promotional review/approval process

  • Ability to interact widely and effectively within the company and with co-promote partner

  • Respiratory specialty/biologics expertise

  • Product launch experience and understanding of the respiratory market

  • Ability to quickly understand and communicate brand strategy

  • Prioritization and resource allocation, deploying resources strategically and monitoring budget to ensure execution and efficient use of resources across all indications

  • Demonstrated ability to understand and anticipate customer needs (internal/external)

  • Proven ability to work cross functionally and lead projects to completion

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
